Warning Sirens (Yes very odd)

As some may know, im a siren enthusiast. Many observant people would see my AirRaidSirens.Net account linked in my bio.

Well something special is happening related to it for me.

I already own two sirens, a Federal Signal Model A and Model B-9, known as “mini sirens”. They are very small (but extremely heavy oh my god) and loud.

But I’m adding another siren to my collection.
a Federal Signal Model 2. Yes, an actual non mini siren designed to be on a pole outside to warn cities. You might even have one in your city. But the unfortunate thing is I need to drive to Ohio to get it (that’s not a joke it’s in Ohio I gotta go pick it up)

Siren Related things I’ve done:
Sirens found/photographed: 100+
SirenCons visited: 2024, (no other)

Siren Descriptions:

Federal Signal Model A “Kareninator 6000”
Date Made: 1960
Condition: good
Working?: Not currently. It did work before I took it apart to clean it, but I’m too lazy to reassemble it.
Color: Red with Black stand
Notes: I took off the tag and cleaned it with non rusting dish soap. Looks cool. When you hand spin the copper it gives a little “BrRrRrRrRrRrrrrrrttt..” very funny

Federal Signal B-9 “Stickahs”
Date Made: 1972
Condition: Great
Working?: Yes
Color: Red. But I put a ton of stickers on it.
Special: Brought to Sirencon 2024 and sounded!
Notes: it sounds very similar to a Model Q. Somehow louder than the other mini sirens at sirencon, even though it was smaller, I wonder why..

Now last but not least
Federal Signal Model 2
Date Made: sometime around the 1940s
Condition: Okay
Working?: Unknown
Color: The Model 2 has no shroud on it, so grey
Special: The Model 2 served as a fire and alert siren in Pennington NJ
Note: No shroud, I’ll have to ask Federal Signal to buy one
