Guinea planes in the Guinea-Congo war

In 1983 Equatorial Guinea gained it's independence from Poland and bought many old planes including PZL-5s and PZL-24s in 1986 The Congo declared war and invaded Guinea
Here are Guineas planes in this war

Corb MK-1

In 1983 when Guinea gained it's independence it bought 1000 PZL-5 Sirens to use in air defense, renaming them to Corb MK-1s, the Corb MK-1 was only used as a scout and retired in 1987 in favor of the better Corb MK-2

Corb MK-2

Entering Service in 1987 the Corb MK-2 replaced the Corb MK-1, this time being a night scout it had an airtight cockpit and Buble canopy for defense.

Elefant MK-1

In 1986 Guinea bought 500 PZL-54Bs from Poland and renamed them Elefant MK-1s, used in CAS roles it was retired in 1987

Elefant MK-2

In 1987 the Elefant MK-1 was retired in favor of the newer Elefant MK-2, it had 2 HAGB-7s and 3 D8 bombs it was retired in 1990

lleopard MK-1

Before 1990 The Congo's Jets dominated the skies but in 1990 all that changed, Guinea bought 1,345 PZL-153 Skotly IIs, 745 of them were "A" varients, these were used to dominate Russian Mig-21s and Mig-25s

lleopard MK-2

The lleopard MK-2 was on the 600 Skotly II Bs bought from Poland, it was a strike bomber and was very effective in destroying ships and Tanks

Pantera MK-1

Used as a Bomber the Pantera MK-1 was dominated by Mig-21s and was defenseless in most aspects but it was soon modified and was eventually retired in 1990

Pantera MK-2

The Pantera MK-2 was a Pantera MK-1 but with air to air missiles, Flares, and Chaff, it hunted Mig-21s but still prey to Mig-25s it was soon retired in 1990

Rinoceront MK-1

In 1984 Guinea bought 90% of all flying PZL-24s in Poland's stock inventory, refitted with modern systems the Rinoceront MK-1 was a high altitude bomber and was retired in 1989

Rinoceront MK-2

In 1989 85% of all Rinoceront MK-1s were refitted into Ground attack Planes, using the ZS series gun it could easily knock out tanks and it could still carry heavy bombs

ull d'àguila MK-1

In 1987 Guinea bought 500 PZL-114Ds from Poland and their carrier Tauró balena (an old Guinea class carrier) they were multi role planes and the only ones that could fight Mig-21s and Mig-25s

ull d'àguila MK-2

A full air to air ull d'àguila MK-1 the ull d'àguila MK-2 was used until 2008 in Guinea service and replaced by the ull d'àguila MK-3 and ull d'àguila MK-4
