Sirens Attack Wright Island, cause mass destruction and sinking defense force.

Starting at 3:00PM Greenwich Mean Time, Siren forces began a full scale assault on the islands of the Wright archipelago. The attacks began with unidentified aircraft coming form the south, streaming down from the sky, attacking air fields and airports alike, appearing to be attempting to ground all other aircraft. Witnesses stated that the strange aircraft used two different weapons to destroy infrastructure, as if equipment to destroy more reinforced buildings.

Then, around twenty minutes after the first air strikes, several Siren vessels appeared to the east, described as resembling a cross between sea animals and battleships. Most had an appearance reminiscent of an gigantic sting ray, recently identified as a Tester, but one was different, described as having two huge yellow eyes, and a mass of tentacles where the rear half of the ship should be, now known as Observer.

The ships engaged to fleet stationed around the islands, causing mass destruction and gave no quarter. Using weapons far beyond anything possible at this time, they easily cut their way through the defenders, with Observer even using its tentacles to hurl pieces of sunken ships at it's targets.

One particularly grizzly even happened when one daring ship proceeded to fire missiles right into one of Observers massive eyes. Upon being struck, the ship emitting a otherworldly, horrific screaming sound, sounding like the combination of shearing metal and the snarls of a Tasmanian devil. Enraged, Observer attacked the unfortunate ship that hit it, tearing it apart with a giant metal beak that resembled a drill, letting out hellish shrieks. Of the roughly 330 crew aboard, none have yet to be found.

At around 4:00PM GMT, the ships suddenly turned to the west, remaining motionless for a few seconds, before abruptly disengaging from the battle, moving through portals they seemed to be able to generate. The attacking aircraft followed suit, funneling into a single portal a few hundred feet in the air. All runways and air serving infrastructure had been destroyed, and the civilian population had been thrown into a panic. More then three fourths of the navy was sunk, and the air force was effectively neutralized.
