Original proposal of using F135-PW100s deemed too powerful for regular airframe use, which an order of the 230 or 237 versions of the F135. Which, increased MIL thrust to 140KN of thrust and reduced afterburner to 160KN of thrust.
A decrease in top speed has been reduced to Mach 1.8 for less stress and longer airframe lifetime, sustained turn rate is unchanged from its XX deg/sec at low speeds, along with AoA.
