Here I think ships having auto aim is better. Just gotta use the formula, also this could solve the AA auto aim issue.
Proximity fuse having proximity fuse on AA would help with hit rate.
Also historically, US ship's have proximity fuse AA compared to other nation's timed fuse. Click here to learn more
