You dont need to tag mods for all your questions. Mods moderate. They dont make the game. You could just post the question as a forum, and I am sure people here would be happy to help you.
Your progress is not all gone. Yes, current builds you were working on are gone, but your progress is how much you know, and how much you can do. That stays with you.
Next time, to save your builds, upload them to the site as unlisteds every few days. This will give you progress saves, allowing you to avoid loss of builds, and will also allow you to shar planes between devices.

Screenshots is not a mod. It is actually quite easy to do. Just use blueprints.
And they download just the same as normal.
