Date and Time: December 17, 2029, time... 1735
The 7th Carrier Fleet of the Asamian Self Defense Navy conducted what was a normal border patrol, consisting of a mix of Destroyers and Cruisers, and a few Aegis ships for air detection. Then the 7th Fleet's flagship, the supercarrier IAN Nagato, with her full fleet of aircraft on board. A few months back, the People's Republic of Xianfang made another violation of entering Asamian territory, assuming it was another poke of aggression that has been ramping up in the area.
But this day was different... A two ship of AST-21 Tomcats were launched out at 1805, Local Asami Time, along with a E-2 Hawkeye from the Veredalian Navy entering in the airspace to assist in air identification and situation assessment. Around 1900, the E-2 spotted what was a large formation of unidentified aircraft b-lining towards the fleet.
Transmission data from the incident relays:
AWACS Linebacker: <<Linebacker reportin- Holy Shit..! Attention to fleet and all airborne aircraft, we got a very large formation of unknown aircraft heading straight for us!>>
IAN Nagato: <<Relaying data to Aegis! Attention on deck, Attention on deck, this is not a drill! Repeat, this is not a drill, all personnel and pilots, man your stations and scramble ASAP!>>
AST-21(Shogun): <<I'm getting readings of the contacts! Bearing 065, altitude 7500 meters, Range of 450km and closing in fast!>>
AST-21(HITA): <<They've done it now, Jesus Christ...>>
AWACS Linebacker: <<Reinforcements from the carrier will arrive in 5 minutes, this is gonna get nasty.. we have the 437th on standby in case this escalates.>>
Not long after, the unknowns were identified as Xianfang aircraft, consisting of J-15s, J-16Ds, and H-6 bombers, armed with cruise missiles. At this time, half of Nagato's wing was airborne to intercept the large formation of aircraft, which began with electronic warfare to reduce the capabilities of launched weapons. The sun sets at around 2032, the contact distance is now 250km, within range of the H-6s weapon deployment, they now launch their payloads towards the fleet. The E-2, now detecting this, begins to relay the information back and updating to the fleet to begin defending against cruise missiles.
2nd audio transmission as follows:
AWACS Linebacker: <<We got confirmed cruise missiles launches! Clear to engage enemy targets. Authorization of the 437th with their AWACS will join to assist with the engagement of contacts. Estimated time of arrival is 25 minutes.>>
AST-21(HITA): <<Aircraft have passed within engagement range, Fox-3s out! And wait, that squadron?! I thought the 437th was inactive since the Desert War back in the 90s.>>
AWACS Linebacker: <<They've been reactivated into operational status in the early 2020s thanks to a new foreign rookie pilot training program.>>
IAN: Nagato <<enough of the yapping, our entire wing is airborne and already engaging the targets!>>
numerous indistinguishable radio chatter of 7th Fleet Wing Group on coordination and grouping to attack
Lt. Col Dogglittle: poor radio quality <<Sorry about the long wait, we're entering the AO in 15 minutes, all aircraft under my wing, switch to Asamian frequency to get a better picture of the situation.>>
Linebacker's radar pings a picture of 7 targets dangerously close to the fleet, these were identified as J-20s from the 67th TFW, known as Feng Squadron, Xianfang's elite unit of pilots. Known for their dedication of their country's leader. More of the fleet began to launch their air to air missiles towards the attacking aircraft, while a few engage the group of stealth fighters.
Cruse missiles began to come in under 40km, skimming the sea, at this time, 40 percent of the initial enemy aircraft have been either shot down or turning away after their payloads were launched. Destroyers and Aegis ships were now prioritizing the protection of the IAN Nagato, even if it mean to physically put them between the carrier and missiles. At 2112, the 7th Carrier Fleet is struck by several cruise missiles, resulting in several ships critically damaged and the IAN Nagato struck, causing a fire to break out on the deck.
3rd audio transmission as follows:
IAN Nagato: <<We've aken a hit on the deck, get the fire crew out there to contain it- oh my god... the fleet, it's on fire.>>
AWACS Linebacker: <<Multiple ships have been struck, along with several allied aircraft. Keep the enemy aircraft away from the fleet!>>
AST-21(HITA) <<We're working on that, and I have 2 hot on my ass right now, would lovely if I got some help!->>
audible explosion from HITA's intercom of the pursuing aircrafts shot down
Lt. Col Dogglittle: <<Sorry for the wait, the 437th is here, all units under my wing, separate into smaller groups to attack and assist! Me and Ghostrider have stealth fighters to hunt, they snuk by the main carrier wing.>>
Maj. Jakson: <<Shit, that was fast Dogglittle, I didn't even get time to even get a lock, save some for the rest of us, man!>>
AST-21(Shogun): <<I'll be damed, they really brought them back into operational status...>>
AWACS Linebacker: <<Confirm kill on two aircraft Dogglittle, J-20s on my radar are now linked to your HUD, that should help you two out.>>
Feng One: <<Looks like the Dog is back in the sky, all units, turn around or die gloriously for our nation of Xianfang.>>
Lt. Col Dogglittle: <<Huh? On my frequency, that's wild.>>
Dogglittle in his F/A-18E, chases after the J-20s, which was seen on Linebacker's radar, with a audible radar lock.
To be continued...
I may no longer publish builds, but, I will publish small bits of my story I've been working in the background for a few years.
