Episode 18: Time To End This
In the foggy snow sky of Russia, a howl can be faintly heard. However, it’s not from an animal. The howl gets louder and louder… then 3 massive shadows suddenly appear in the clouds. The howl gets extremely loud and then a growl can also be heard. Eventually 3 massive strategic bombers burst through the clouds, revealing themselves. A TU-22M3 armed with 2 X-42s under its wings and 4 Trinity missiles, a TU-50 (production version of PAK-DA with a much sleeker design) with 50 small cruise missiles and a SU-95 (a modernized, stealth version of the Sukhoi T-4) with hypersonic missiles. Following behind them are a whole fleet of 50 planes consists of TU-95 and SU-34. They left at 3am and should be able to reach Gensokyo’s fleet at 10am, at that point, they should be a few hundreds km to Japan’s shore, the attack will begin right then and there.
*7am, on Japan’s television.
Yamamoto: “This is president Yamamoto of Japan. All officers and soldiers of Japan who are watching this, please understand that this whole war you are fighting for, is pointless, a pure misunderstanding created by those who once took my freedom and stirred up the relationship between Japan and Gensokyo. They want war for profit for themselves and a cover up for the twisted things that they have and are doing. Everyone, please watch as me and president Masayoshi stands next to each other, shoulder to shoulder, hand in hand. I declare the war is over, I repeat, the war, is over! However there’s still one more battle that need to be fought, we will have to eliminate the corrupted government that has ruled this land for 23 years and bring back the peace that this land deserved. If you can, please give our allies the resources to help them complete their mission. Right now our friends are coming here from North East, for an all out attack at 10am.”
Masayoshi: “To all the people that still hiding behind the power of their war crime weapons. Bring yourself out under the light of peace and justice!”
*Crowd cheering.
*9:30am
Victor: “Everyone, attention, 10 squadrons suddenly appear on our radar-… wait, radio connection requests?… Hello?”
Pilot: “Hello? This is squadron Furai of the Japanese air force, behind us are 9 other squadrons from the same base, we got commanded to come out here and fight with you. We heard the president’s speech! We will fight with you till the very end!”
Victor: “Okay, welcome!”
SBD-1: “This is the 106th bomber squadron from Japan. We’re fighting with you too-… Oh, you guys bring stealth bombers here too?”
Victor: “Oh? Our extra air force has arrived.”
TU-50’s pilot: “This is TU-50, we’re in position, waiting for command!”
Victor: “All fighter squadrons on aircraft carriers, get ready and takeoff, quickly!”
Just 10 minutes later, HTFS, Squadron X, GG squadron takeoff along side with all fighter squadrons from all carriers of the fleet. The Japanese squadrons form up with them to create a massive air fleet with almost 200 planes.
When it’s near 10am, Japan releases about 28 fighter squadrons, half of them don’t look like they even belong to the Japanese air force and they fly strange tailless diamond shaped stealth fighters. There’s also 20 B-21 coming with them, forming a massive group of aircrafts flying at the Gensokyo’s force.
Victor: “Almost there, I will say the mission to everyone for the last time, all aircrafts will take care of enemy aircrafts and airbases, ships will take care of naval bases, helicopters with wait for a clear signal from the air force, after that, the air force will assist you guys go straight into Japan and take care of the government. Alright, EVERYONE CLEAR?!”
All: “Yes sir!!”
Victor looks at the clock, the clock changes from 9:59 to 10 o’clock.
Victor: “IT’S TIME TO END THIS!!! COMMENCE ALL OUT ATTACK!!!”
The whole Gensokyo’s air fleet go max throttle and is leaded by the 3 legendary squadrons of this war. They fly head-on at the group that Japan sent out. They fly through each others and dozens of planes and fireballs fall out of the sky and dive right into the ocean, the ship’s anti-airs are working at their best to prevent planes from falling onto the ships and damage them. After 10 minutes, the whole Japanese air force is wiped out, however, just when they done…
*BOOM!!!
A massive nuclear explosion came out of seemingly nowhere wipes out nearly half of the Gensokyo’s air fleet, causing panic and confusion to everyone.
Victor: *stares at radar “Everyone! There’s a missile signal on your radar, it’s not moving, it’s coming from above, everyone get away from the missile signal now!!”
All planes spread out away from the missile signal on the radar and sure enough, another explosion happens.
Sanae: “Satellite?!”
Victor: “What do you mean by that?… wait, you mean the attack is coming from a satellite??”
Sanae: “Yes, Gensokyo also has those as the primary defense at the beginning of this war. But never know that they have them too!”
Sakura: “I… didn’t know that they have weaponized satellite... must be a new thing they made recently..”
Another explosion happens.
Victor: “The attack rate is pretty slow, I think there’s only one. But that doesn’t help anything if nothing can take it out.”
Marisa: “I can!!”
Victor: “Wait wha-“
Marisa’s plane goes vertical, then Marisa activates the rotating detonation rocket engine in the main hull of her plane. Despite its large size and weight, it shows everyone its extraordinary quick climb speed, almost no one can keep their eyes up with that acceleration and speed. In just seconds, she’s already up on the stratosphere. A signal pops up oh her HUD.
Marisa: “There you are!”
Marisa slow down, then she presses the missile button on her plane, a door on the belly of the plane opens and the Stargazer is ejected out, the missile ignites an fly at accelerate to hypersonic speed in just a few seconds. Marisa let her plane stops and naturally drop back down. But before it comes to a complete stop, a star like energy explosion occurs, the signal disappears, Marisa plane falls back down. Marisa smiles.
Marisa: “Heh, too easy.”
Just a few minutes later, Marisa is already back with the air force.
Victor: “Marisa, did you shot the satellite down?”
Marisa: “Yes I did, just flying up there and shoot it down.”
Victor: “It isn’t that easy, but because of how advanced your plane is, it seemed easy for you. Anyway, thanks for the help Marisa, man, if nothing can do anything about it, the whole fleet might be gone.”
Half an hour later, the air raid sirens blare all over Japan, Gensokyo’s force has arrived at Japan.
Victor: “Alright, we have arrived, ship fleet and air force, divide into 3 groups and take care of North, Mid and South Japan! We have come this far, don’t screw this up! Strategic bombers, fire all missiles and return to Russia immediately!!”
TU-50: “Copy that!”
The TU-50 opens all of its bomb bays and releases cruise missiles continuously at all the targets all over Japan. Then all the bombers return back to Russia including the Japanese ones. The fighter squadrons divide into 3 groups and spread out, each group is also followed by a squadron of cargo attack helicopters. HTFS goes North, Squadron X goes South and GG squadron fight at the Mount Fuji.
*A few minutes later.
Roza: “Enemies incoming!”
Sokolóv: “Everyone, stick together and fight with us!!”

Sanae: “New enemies inbound!! Fight carefully everyone!!”

Kai: “Enemies aircrafts are taking off!”
Hana: “Light ‘em up!!”
Asuka: “Yeah!!”
Kai: “Alright, everyone, do your best, kill them all!!!”
All Gensokyo’s side planes shoot down enemy aircrafts with almost no problem thanks to the 3 leading squadron. After taking all planes down, the SU-34s bomb all airbases to prevent more aircrafts from taking off. Then the helicopters fly to the government buildings and release soldiers in. About 10 minutes later, all government members are captured along with guards that’s still alive. The ships also shoot missiles to destroy all the remaining ships at the naval bases.
Sokolóv: “Victor, we’re done on our side, what about the others?”
Victor: “Alright, got cha, Sanae, are you guys done?”
Sanae: “We’re done sir!”
Victor: “Okay, Kai? Are you guys done on your part?”
Kai: “We’re still waiting for the-… oh, never mind, they just finished. Okay, we’re done, we’re coming back now.”
Victor: “Everyone, gather back together at the Mount Fuji, the main group is waiting for you.”
After a few minutes, all planes are back together flying around the Mount Fuji.
Victor: “Alright, congratulations to everyone, this war is finally finished. Let’s go home now-“
Marisa: “Wait, guys? Can I ask a question?”
Victor: “Uhm, okay, go ahead.”
Marisa: “I… does Mount Fuji supposed to have any cave?”
Everyone: “???”
Victor: “What do you mean?”
Marisa: “There’s what looks like a very big cave on the side of Mount Fuji, there’s a river going straight into it too.”
Confusion is spreading over every single person.
Japanese pilot: “We were taught that Mt. Fuji was once a volcano. Having a cave is already strange, but a river going straight in is just nonsense.”
Sanae: “Guys! Stealth fighter are flying out from the cave!!”
Victor: “GG squadron, can you take care of them?”
Sanae: “Yes we can, no problem, but we’re going in there too.”
Victor: “Can any squadron come and assist.”
Sanae: “No, the cave is most likely a tunnel, it won’t be easy, we can fight in tunnels because we have done it before!”
Victor: “Copy that, wish you luck!”
