Just think about what we can build if we had gyroscope physics in this game... The first thing that I think of is auto pilot... If you put the rear wings on free-spinning rotators and you can somehow hook that up to a gyroscope to keep it level.... Then we can make stuff like giant planes with 360 degree turrets on top, and we don't have to worry about the plane accidentally nose diving... Or flying aircraft carriers that we can land on again, because they will keep flying straight... Just think... If you also think this could be awesome plz comment below and maybe, just maybe the devs will see it and maybe think of putting it in the game ??...
If you want working gyroscopes you can download my gyro stabilization set
@bullman518 @HellFireKoder @Skua Actually with a light enough plane, it SHOULD be possible to control it gyroscopicly with rotators without ant control surfaces. I have been trying to do that for quite some time now.
@TheRemesy the iOS version of SimplePlanes doesn't support mods because of Apple's policy, whether jailbroken or not, so no, sorry.
@bullman518 Here you go!
@bullman518 Pretty much, though I forgot to mention that you need to enable it in the "mods" menu that should show up in the main SimplePlanes menu XD
and you're welcome, I've almost got it ready, so I can upload it soon :)
@HellFireKoder and thanks😁
Is it really that easy?!? Oh yeah and I also use es file explorer...
@bullman518 I'll link you a file with the extension "spmod-android", and then you will need to download that file (duh, right? XD), and then put it in the SimplePlanes Mods folder, which should be located at Android/data/com.jundroo.simpleplanes/files/Mods, if the "Mods" folder isn't there, it should be fine to just create it.
If you can hook up to a computer, it may be easier to move the file, but if not, just use a file explorer (I used ES), select the mod file, copy it, move to the simpleplanes Mods folder, and paste it.
@HellFireKoder that would be awesome... Sorry but I am new to mods... How do you install it?
@Flightsonic @Skua @bullman518 I already built an early test version for Android, when it only had the gyro cockpit block, it should be really easy to update it and release to the public, I'll try it today.
@Skua yep only windows for now @bullman518
@bullman518 it was a mod, rather than a plane. As far as I know there's only a Windows version so far, but if I get a chance to talk to him later I'll see if he can do an Android version
@Skua can you please enter the name of the plane so I can find it?
Funny you should mention that, @HellFireKoder released a gyroscope last night. An android build should be possible
