recently i am getting back into the swing of working on The Mod and ive completed some more stuff that will be a part of the first update
the update will be tropical themed, with 4 new airports dotted on 3 separate islands; the largest of which are in the fotos above (one in greybox hehe)
a large part of the work going into this update is also optimizing the meshes of certain assets like runways and one hangar object in particular. I recently got a low spec laptop that's perfect for lag testing, and i am currently looking into other ways of reducing lag as that's the biggest issue ive seen people having with the mod

other changes include fixing some materials being wrong, the runway at wright north actually has wrong runway numbers which i realized like a month after the mod was released (i also caught myself making the same mistake on one of the new runways heheheha), and some changes to skypark airport's ramp markings, to name a few
due to an unfortunate quirk of the mod tools the mod file size has ballooned to 1.5gb as that counts for whatever assets are in the unity project that arent included in the map addon itself. most of it is finished terrains for future updates, erm
the update could be out by the end of october, im not 100% sure

@MisterT sweet, I noticed the map objects appearing in other map mods though I assumed that was just an sp thing that I couldn't do anything about
@BaconEggs Yes, there's an "exclusion" tab, Just write "Default" in it and it should only show in the default map.

Nice ! You should add default map in the exclusion tab of the map plugin because some assets are showing in other mod maps.
