On January 22, 1991, fifteen VerdAir Valkyries of the 54th Attack-Fighter Squadron from the Trinity Air Guard took off from the Doha Veridisian Air Force Base in Qatar to conduct a dangerous, low-level, ground attack mission on the H-3 Airbase in western Iraq. Out of the 15 Valkyries that were supposed to participate in the airstrike, two would abort and one would be moderately damaged.
