while i was looking for reference images for my future vehicle builds, i saw "metal gear raiden gif" on my search history, i have no freaking clue where it came from, i certainly didn't remember looking it up either, i did a very and i mean very thorough inspection on both my google account, and my device but so far, i found nothing harmful, and plus, it's not like it's some kind of scam site, infact, it seemed completely harmless, albeit random, any explanation as to why this happened?
oh btw here's image proof
the heck?

@YarisSedan I don't know though. Trending searches will recommend some searches that is currently trending in your area, and it's usually a random craps which is might unclear or sometimes between relatable or off-topic
@LunarEclipseSP wait, can it do that?
Trending search maybe?
@TheMouse i see... also, apologies for being inactive for 2 days, life's gotten busy, but im sort of back now!
@126
Depends. Google can be nice for syncing photos and stuff, and works great as a free back up. I personally would not, but it’s really your choice.
@TheMouse i see... but... is it like- okay to turn off sync, not just for google search, but also for everything?
@126
Depends. Turning off sync in searches does almost norhing lol.
@EnglishGarden @TheMouse update:
for some reason these 3 frankly goofy things (albert flamingo, golden plane, and french guy lmao) which i actually distinctly remember looking up on google search when i was younger (and probably immature too) btw, i deleted those three out of embarrassment years ago, although the raiden gif thing is gone now, these for some reason reappeared after the metal gear raiden gif thing is finally gone for good (i switched on and off sync, turns out that's what it takes for the raiden gif thing to finally be gone for good) it only shows up when going to the manage search history page though, here's proof
also, is turning off sync harmful in anyway? i really want to know
@EnglishGarden that's just google being google lmao
@126 that's good
@EnglishGarden nvm, turning on and off sync solved the issue
yeah sure pal
(jk)
@TheMouse for real for real
@126
Google is like that. Half their “updates” make things harder.
@TheMouse okay, i swear it's been like weeks and it still happened, i get that it's probably a completely harmless glitch/bug but jeez it's getting annoying atleast to me
@Randomplayer If it's someone I "know", I'll give it a pass. I do it, anyways.
@Graingy stop messing with peoples phones!
(I don't know if you don't like being tagged on random posts so just say it)
@TheMouse yeah, it's probably either a bug or a sync issue.
@126
Google is weird like that. Its probably just the link. I wouldn't worry about it, google rearranges my search history all the time.
@TheMouse if you're wondering, yes, i did sync it but it doesn't seem to work, although i remember clicking a link from someone's comment on the sp site out of curiosity (i don't know exactly where or when though) and it lead me to that, i remember deleting it from my search history several months ago and a few days ago it started popping up on my search history, and for some reason it's still persistent, and no, i didn't let anyone borrow my phone, it just appeared by itself days ago even though i remember deleting it months ago, i know that it might sound weird that i didn't let anyone my phone, even if it's just for basic stuff like texting, but you have to consider that things are different here so...
@126
So either someone “borrowed” your phone, or you accidentally searched it by mistake or something.
@TheMouse i checked everything but so far there's no suspicious activity, plus, i have no other account beside me connected to my device
@126
I accidentally clicked submit lol. Its edited now.
@TheMouse ?
It was searched. Maybe not by you. But it was searched by someone. Do you have your google chrome set to sync? If so, anyone with your google account could have searched that. If not, anyone with your phone could have searched it.
