Yeah, no... Seriously. An Entire 150 page long first E-book (on Amazon kindle) in a series that will last a few volumes. I've never done one of these before... And for a 16 year old, a lot was on my head...
But here we are.
Go check it out!
It features the following:
Psychological elements (Main character has a case related to PTSD and/or schizophrenia as result of the war)
dystopian, cyberpunk setting ( set a good time ahead into the future with various science fiction elements)
Philosophical questions used to enhance tension ( The morality of some characters are challenged, raising tensions between them.
Thanks for the time you gave me, hope you have a great day!
bro touched grass 🤓
Good job.
@OrangeConnor2 just did.
Next objective: Touch some grass. You need it, after all that.
Wow.
... You could probably tag this "Story"?
:D
@Graingy sure
I'm actually going through something I wrote months ago currently (the person who volunteered to proofread never did it). If I get around to uploading it, would you mind if I tagged you? I could use input. It's about 3000 words, and inspired somewhat by SP (or, at least, its atmosphere).
Teach me your ways!
@Graingy I---don't---know---i---ended---up---typing---away
... Repeat that slowly?
Preferably more than 3 seconds a word lol
@Graingy I don't know I just ended up typing away
HOW DO YOU NOT REALIZE THAT?!?!?!?!?!!?!?
@Graingy jeez even I didn't realize that.
@Gs Holy...
Working at 300 words per page (making an assumption, idk how that stuff with Amazon works), for 55 pages, that's like 16,500 words. In 14 hours.
A word of story every 3 seconds average.
Did it come out well in a qualitive sense? Did it require a lot of editing?
@ComradeSandman Indeed. A light novel type thing but in volumes. This is not the entire story, it's part of a much bigger one.
@ComradeSandman No, really. I started at 11 in the morning then finished at 1am at night. I was really compassionate in those moments lol
About ~45k words? That’s a small novel. Dang.
Wow
This is who I wish I was lol.
Haven’t written even a single chapter in ages, let alone any actual bulk of work. Years, probably.
Congrats! Clearly you have more will and inspiration than I do lol
How the hell? 55 pages in a day? Am I tripping?
@Boeing727200F You can sell them on KDP as E-books if you want to let the world see.
@StockPlanesRemastered Hey, I seem to be in line with that timeline! although, I might be able to churn out the first two books before 17.
:D
Thrown of glass was written and published by a (then) 16 year old. And it turned into a saga of books spanning three series' that take place in the same multiverse.
I got a handful of small short stories I made that are mediocre.
Made all of them at school
@126 I used to think like that as well, but one of these days, I took aside an entire day and just gave it my all... Jumping from 90 pages written, to an entire 145.
