Its absolutely insane, especially since its been basically the same since its launch. I would have never thought I'd be posting something on to the Simple Planes forums in 2024.
How does this game keep a consistent fan base after 9 years?

@TheMouse
1: Yamato
2: Screw-You Physics(TM)
3: Taping a rock to a paper airplane and throwing it at someone
@DeadlyDialga yep, that's basically why im still somewhat sticking around here for like 3 or so years, and man what a journey it is
The best explanation I’ve heard is that a lot of people find this as a… comfort game if that makes any sense. It’s a game you can come back to and be creative in and just have fun.
Also considering the community has lots of likeminded individuals with similar interests… that probably doesn’t hurt either.
@TheMouse And abject horror
@Graingy
There are two ways of looking at anything. Half full, or fully empty.
gaem funi
Its the only game that allows you to build post and chat to others about Planes, Trains and Automobiles as what other games allow you to do that
because it's never gonna give us up
and never gonna let us down
and never gonna run around
and hurt us
(except if you download yamato and your pc explodes)
I never really thought much time has passed since I first went to this site, but looking back on everything that I've built, I gotta say it's amazing that it's made it this far
3 reasons.
1. Works on (quite literally) anything. People are not prevented from playing by their device.
2. Allows people to be creative. The sky is the limit.
3. Unique. Have you ever seen anything like this game anywhere? Apart from flyout, (much newer, and only computer) there is essentially nothing like it.
Because it's unique and easily defeats the other competitors, plus it's accessible for both computers and phones, which makes it more global than other sandbox games.
@126 the fact that i have never uninstalled this game also proves it. Usually I install a game, play it for a while, get bored if it and uninstall it. This game is the only exception. Also, nobody plays this game for it'sspectacular in game missions. We play it because of the creative freedom we get. and most importantly the ability to share your builds with the community. Sort of like Minecraft minus the multiplayer part.
game fun
10/10
@overlord5453 same, and yeah, the fact that this game even had any fanbase to begin with for over 9 years is insane
What can i say, I just love this game.
@jamesPLANESii Literally.
Yeah it's kinda insane ngl
On which count?
@Graingy
I could not think of a more logical answer.
Anyways, I'm in the business of stealing souls today.
Could you get, like, six and a half thousand points and then tell me? Pretty please?
BECAUSE I AM EXCEPTIONALLY LOUD AND ANNOYING AND PEOPLE COME FROM ALL OVER TO SEE WHERE THE RUCKUS IS COMING FROM
