I have a question...

640 Warboie  3 months ago

I've been thinking lately about a new device I want for performance stuff for my birthday, I have seen some options, but the thing I was wondering of is: How good is 8GB of RAM in SP?

If someone could answer me, I would appreciate it :]

    I play on 8gb phone and it can handle up to 3000+ performance point pretty well

    @overlord5453 3+1 GB of RAM with 64 GB of memory. It's a Redmi 10A.

    @Warboie hopefully I will get my upgrade by the end of next month or this year (if everything goes according to plan).
    What's the specs of your current device? Just curious.

    @overlord5453 lol, 2GB of RAM? That's awful bro, and I checked your aircraft parts, They aren't so many actually (my phone can run with those parts with some lag and about 25 fps approx) but I can understand the feeling, I had a Samsung Galaxy A10s in the past, and it lagged a lot.

    @HuskyDynamics01 I don't have the money for a computer, at most a tablet, maybe a Samsung or Xiaomi (Redmi and POCO too), but thanks :]

    @HuskyDynamics01 what's considered mid-range experience? How much would an 8gb ram handle?

    I don't know. I am also looking for an upgrade. Currently stuck on a 2gb ram phone :(
    However, my lil bro has a 8gb ram phone and it ran my SMC-130 at full graphics settings with screen recorder running really well. Don't know what the frame rate was but it was smooth. So smooth, it felt unreal (maybe it's because of my brain being used to 10 to 15 fps).
    He doesn't play sp much (if not at all) and haven't tested his phones capabilities that much. The only reason he have sp is the above mentioned aircraft. I wanted to make a teaser video so I convinced him to download sp. He does play some other game.

    It'll work but you'll be more limited in terms of maximum performance cost (i.e. part count). RAM isn't the only factor that influences this, but it's one of them.

    If you plan to use the device (assuming a computer?) for anything other than mid-range SimplePlanes performance, get 16gb of RAM.
