The MDA aircraft that were delivered to Veridisia by a member of that organization underwent rigorous testing to demonstrate how robust these flying machines are in combat and against Veridisian military assets.

The very reason the Federation is testing these weapons is to substitute the roles of the Armed Forces’ military assets in the conflict. This means that the Federation will be using the weapons from both sides of the war so that no single Veridisian military asset will be sacrificed or lost.

While the testing of the MDA aircraft is finished, the tanks on the other hand are still undergoing testing. The helicopters were not required to be tested. In fact, the Federation urgently needs an operating helicopter fleet.

This document would like to highlight the features of the delivered aircraft from that test and their results.

North American F-175C

Unfortunately, it was not validated for service.

The fighter’s big size could easily make it a vulnerable target for interceptors. Testing showed that Griffin pilots easily took down the large fighter just by using their autocannons instead of the standard missile to lock on smaller targets like fighters.

Already adding up to its large size, the sleek, black fuselage of the plane reflects light from the Sun, making it easier to be spotted by intercepting planes at a distance.

However, this fighter was agile and proved to be decent to our standards. It was even able to shoot down a couple UAV drones that were used in the test.

North American A-19C

The attack aircraft was validated due to its success to perform ground-precision and close air support roles.

A formidable aircraft of the MDA, it is vulnerable to become an easy prey for fighters. An overhaul was required, and alterations were made to the aircraft. These changes include:

• a redesign of the engine
• removal of its solid rocket boosters
• shortening of its main cannon
• capability to fight aerial targets for self defense

Since its acceptance into the Veridisian military service, it is assigned the name Spike Wolf.

North American F-20 Fennec Fox

Unfortunately, it was not validated for service and for good reason.

The Fennec Fox is a supersonic fighter-bomber, but it is barely agile, and the way the plane rolls is uncontrollable. This problem has led to numerous near-fatal incidents during testing where test pilots did not have the chance to pull up on time to avoid collision with mountainous terrain, all of which survived by ejecting the plane early before impact.

North American B-53F

Validated due to its success to take up a bomber role, though it flies more like a fighter. Presumably, it can also be used as a high-altitude reconnaissance plane.

The only thing this bomber needs are improvements from its original design.

It is assigned to the name Clandestine Buzzard.

North American FA-28

It met the same fate as the Fennec Fox due to the same characteristics.
