Sunken MDA Ship Found With One Survivor
Apparently, one of our Mermaid Type-III-class nuclear submarines, the VSB Devil Whale, had found the wreck of MDA ship USS Maine, confirming our suspicions that a naval battle which may have occurred between RCE and MDA forces was tied to the Battle of Bandit. We have also found the body of an MDA sailor. He is alive but comatosed.
Just thirty hours earlier at 1:05 PM on October 29, 2024, the crew of a B-53F Clandestine Buzzard spotted a bright, orange light over the horizon.
The crew, who were tasked by the Veridisian Meteorologist Agency to make scientific observations and measurements of the stormy weather, glimpsed at the mysterious light for a few seconds before dissipating.
At first, they had suspected that it was a powerful explosion, but no smoke occurred after a few minutes. They later reported their findings to a nearby P-8 Poseidon before that message was passed on to the VC Shiva, and an investigation was initiated shortly afterwards.
Evidence of such battle further consolidated when two SkyCorps Hawks of the 133rd Fighter Squadron detected an RCF aircraft in their radars. They observed the same orange light, this time at a closer range. They even heard the noise from that location, suggesting that it may have been a loud explosion. After they had observed the light, they noticed that the RCF aircraft was gone from their radars.
The investigation team hypothesized that an aerial engagement took place between the two military powers. This was confirmed when news reports of a battle that took place at Bandit occurred, but most of the information that the investigation team got came from MDA-affiliated sources. Their suspicions were raised when they found out that none of the MDA’s navy had endured the loss of a major warship, named the USS Maine. However, classified photographs taken by AI-controlled reconnaissance drones showed that the high-profile vessel was missing in its last confirmed location. The vessel was reportedly less than a few hundred miles away from the VC Shiva.
The Hawks, who observed the mysterious, orange light earlier fortunately pinpointed their coordinates, prompting an expedition to the marked location by the 9th Carrier Fleet to be launched. The 9th Carrier Fleet was traversing the Krakabloan Ocean when the battle at Bandit took place. The expedition included two Mermaid Type-III nuclear submarines, the VSB Giant Isopod and the VSB Devil Whale, as well as two submersibles designed to survive the high pressure at a max depth of 5,000 meters below sea level and two pairs of six, well-trained “aquanauts”. The pair of additional assets would board their respective submarines.
The expedition to the designated location began after sunset at 6:37 PM, and made it to their destination nearly roughly seventeen hours later at 11:39 AM on October 30. The 9th Carrier Fleet began probing the area shortly afterwards. Both submarines submerged at a depth of 2,300 meters below sea level to find said ship at the bottom of the ocean floor. Anti-submarine helicopters and maritime patrol aircraft assisted the fleet in their search of the MDA ship by using specialized electromagnetic instruments designed to detect huge pieces of metallic objects underwater, particularly sunken warships or submarines. These instruments would be dropped underwater to find the searched-after objects.
After an extensive, thorough search of the area for two hours, one of the instruments detected a huge object about the size of a battleship. Team B, led by Prof. Takashi Nakamura and a team of researchers, marine biologists, and naval historians from the University of Gouranna who boarded VSB Devil Whale earlier were deployed to the designated area where the object was found.
They boarded their submersible and began observations of the area, where they found a huge shipwreck. The shipwreck had most of its parts scattered all over the area, to a point that it was barely recognizable. Along with the remains of the ship were the remains of a suspected fighter jet next to it, as well as an air-to-air missile that was completely intact. The observations of the location made by both the B-53F and the Hawks from earlier mostly matched that of the designated area where the incident occurred.
To make final confirmation that the shipwreck was the USS Maine, the expedition team sent naval historians Garry Donalds and Henry Willey Obbet to find the serial number of the ship by performing a “waterwalk” (underwater extravehicular exploration or UEVE for short). Thirty five minutes later, the pair of aquanauts found the serial number, located a few meters away from the shipwreck’s bow, and it successfully matched that of USS Maine. The shipwreck of USS Maine was located at a depth of 2,512 meters below sea level.
As the aquanauts were returning to the submersible, Obbet felt a slight pull of his leg. When he looked down, he found the body of a sailor. It was the hand of an MDA sailor, one of the crew of the USS Maine. He reported his findings to the team who told him to retrieve the body. He asked Donalds to help him pick up the “dead sailor”. When the team returned to the submarine, doctors realized that the body of the sailor had a fast heartbeat. The VBS Devil Whale emerged from the water so that the sailor could seek medical assistance from nearby warships. VAC Initiative received the distress call, and a few minutes later, a UH-15 helicopter was dispatched to pick up the sailor. He is currently enduring a coma and is under intensive care. The identity of the sailor and the motives of Team B has yet to be known.
Currently, as of the time of writing, the search group is currently retrieving the remains of the unidentified aircraft that was found along with the shipwreck of USS Maine. Once the last important piece was found, the search group would begin investigating the aircraft’s remains to find key clues to its origins and its eventual fate.

True. It's like a Super state vs a Superpower country.
@TheUltimatePlaneLover
Jaguar.
@TheUltimatePlaneLover ?
I still have tons of large blobs stored in a blast bunker.
@crazyplaness Depends. Like Foxhound said, it would be a good idea to wait, but if you had joined, the RCE (SPSidearm) definitely needs a the help a lot more, but the MDA is always open to more allies
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 yeah ok
@crazyplaness you should probably wait until this is over to do stuff
@Christiant2 see...
@TheUltimatePlaneLover okay. Which side should I join?
@crazyplaness Probably!
A war can start at any time, by anyone...
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 Yes, this is true, the Modified BA-27 used a beam to deplete uranium, plutonium, and several other nuclear material across the world.
@TheUltimatePlaneLover will there be another?
@crazyplaness Well yesn't:
Normally you could, but the war is almost over now. If you want to join, though, you can still pitch in.
can I join?
@Christiant2 with something like this, you cant just say classified, at least tell me in [REDACTED]
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 Thats. Private... classified.
@Christiant2 what. reasons.
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 For "Reasons"
@Christiant2 look now
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 ?
@Christiant2 I meant, why do you care so much about having nukes
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 its a nuke. Underwater. And in a battle area.
also @AManWillDieButNotHisIdeas if I didn't tell you already, don't touch the Wreck anymore than you already have, this is MDA property if you have already taken anything from it, please return it, you might get sent some stuff after as a reward for finding it and rescuing that sailor (why where you snooping around anyway) and when the sailor wakes up and is stable, please return him (or whatever term you would use) back to the MDA without questioning the sailor, a official report will be made on what happened after (I know this sounds really suspicious, but 1. you are an outside party that we don't much about your intentions or ideas
2. I don't want the sailor to have to go through a questioning right away, also we can find his family and friends) also, will you please tell us your sources, because we never covered up the incident, and it was told in the battle report
@Christiant2 I DON'T KNOW, all I know is that he disabled all nukes and Uranium, even ones that were in bases, why does it matter so much anyway.
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 We have Stored Uranium. Also How tf do you disable uranium?
@Christiant2 he disabled uranium, you simply can't, or I would have nukes
