This is not a major issue, it will however help me greatly if it can be solved. I’ve done a lot of things to prevent this from occurring but most attempts have failed.
My problem is I’m using hinge rotators and the wings that I’ve connected on the tips of hinge rotators separate when due to them spinning as I’ve attached vtol engines on the wing tips.
So does anyone know how to keep the rotators and the wings from separating when spinning?
@FaLLin1 I am happy to announce that I am back on schedule, I’ve fixed the problem after months of hard work.
@FaLLin1 yeah, it was a crazy idea, might not happen, but private rooms would be probably a good idea so you don’t get attacked by other players.
@Airheaddivision ok 1st of all in sp2 camo paint schemes are now possible just check out the sceenshots on steam page for simpleplanes2 , and with multiplayer nd major 'chad' who will be our playable character i don't see it impossible to do what u've mentioned , i was just wondering if we will be able to creat private rooms this kinda helpfull so the game won't crash plus u nd i would try our choppas out there
@FaLLin1 my current project is my UH-60 Blackhawk, mainly getting the front to rise up when collective is raised so I can fly level, as a said I have finally figured out my issue, then I will move on to other aircraft.
I hope in the new game that multiplayer allows us players to sit in the back of the aircraft as I’ve been designing my aircraft to carry the weight of players in case that possibility arises.
That and making camo paint schemes will be much easier
@Airheaddivision indeed so let's hope sp2 will feature some real physics and flexibility when it comes to the rotor part and in addition the biggest feature m waiting for is the form edit for fuselage . may i ask what's ur current project for the moment?
@FaLLin1 I’ll consider it, probably will be the last thing I do but I will most certainly consider it. The real reason why I don’t use heli rotors from the game is because they don’t really look all that realistic, and some of the functions i want aren’t there. There are certain helicopters with certain looking rotor shapes that only the custom rotors can do, downside is it takes up more part count.
@Airheaddivision I'm flattered it help u , gonna give u a tip would help u a lot specially u r a helicopter builder like me ( a custom rotor requires time nd effort yet it add a bit of realism for ir replica , so maybe consider using default rotor withe ur choppas . in order to make ur heli's flight level like a black hawk without the need for a jet engine just set the drag for the whole fuselage to 0 ) this will provide speed without the need to add more pitch plus the angle of the rotor should be 85° or 87° not 90°
@FaLLin1 I do have discord but I barely use it, I’m not that big into social media unlike a friend of mine, but thanks, especially for sending in that rotor, really helped.
@Airheaddivision well that's a great news to hear, me too I'm back on schedule after doing some digging in simpleplanes nd pushing my building skills further ( hope u got any other social media except tik tok so we can assist each other in sp nd some knowledge exchang )
@FaLLin1 thanks

@FaLLin1 okay, thanks, it’s always good do have multiple options for these things.
i guess urm r talking about ur helis blades right ? if so use fuselage part , shape it as heli requires nd u won't face this problem again plus set the physics to medium to avoid the tip of blade separate from the rotator i do that for all my helicopters i can upload my black hawk main rotor for u if u want
@overlord5453 okay, I’ll try it
Use structural wings. Or just change the wing type to
wing-2
in the overload menu.@crazyplaness thanks anyways even if you didn’t know, appreciate it.
Decrease the mass of the things attached to the rotators? idk
