1942
Operation Richardo
The first thing to happen in 1942 was Operation Richardo. Led by Admiral Richardo of the Italian Navy.
It started off with destroyers sinking the two carriers Haguno Maru and Okinawa Maru. The force would make sure the aircraft carriers couldn't attack the battleship fleet.
(Destroyer Hussar picking up survivors from the Okinawa Maru.)
Soon after a small number of bombers would sink the remaining aircraft carrier and destroy the bunker line of 6in cannons.
The first too go in were US SBD-3s, they had only 12 in number and focused solely on the Haguno Maru. It ended off only two SBDs hit their mark, but tore the rear off of the Haguno Maru.
(A SBD strikes the Haguno Maru.)
Following up were British Halifax MKIII bombers. These bombers would target 6in batteries. They flew in at 8000ft to accurately hit the 6in batteries. Their mission was successful for what came next.
(A Halifax hits three 6in batteries.)
2 hours later, the battle fleet arrived. Lead by the battleship Littorio, the fleet opened fire on the larger AA batteries to keep them from being used against the ships.
(BB Littorio opens fire on the AA batteries.)
Following suit, the two battle cruisers Constellation (of the USA), and Derfflinger (of Germany), opened fire on harbor instillations to make sure that no ship could be used to attack them.
(Picture 1: BC Derfflinger opens fire. Picture 2: BC Constellation opens fire.)
Soon after, battleship Warsaw opened fire on seaplane harbors to keep them from having long ranged bombers that can be refueled by seaplane tenders.
(Warsaw opens fire)
Unfortunately they were able to get a single Ki-5T to torpedo the cruiser Maximilian. The two torpedos struck the forward ammo rack, shearing the bow off the heavy cruiser, and causing her to plummet to the ocean floor.
(Maximilian is hit by a torpedo)
On the way to the Polish port, the Prince of Wales rams the light cruiser Aoba after the Aoba signed to the Operation Richard fleet that was firing on her because they thought they were allies, this event, caused her to split in half.
(Prince of Wales rams the Aoba.)
Europe
The operation to bombard the port of Konstradant, Russia, known as Operation Harbor, saw battleship Izrael and South Indes bombard Konstradant, an important port in The USSR.
(Warsaw fires on Kronstradant.)
Afterwards, PZL-62Bs, PZL-18s, and more bombed the port, making sure it couldn't be used to harbor Battleships.
(PZL-62s and PZL-18s bomb Kronstradant.)
Afterwards battleship Minsk was sent south to assist the Pacific Fleet.
(Minsk underway)
Doolittle raid, Coral sea, and Midway.
At the same time, the Doolittle raid attacked Japan. Launched from the USS Hornet, this forced devestated Japan.
(A B-25 bombs Japan.)
In the Coral Sea, bombers from Lexington and Yorktown make sure that the light carrier Shoho is torn to smithereens.
(SBDs bomb the Shoho.)
But not all was good. The USA lost the Lexington to 16 Val dive bombers. The Vals used a hammer and anvil tactic to make sure the Lexington would not survive.
(Lexington after being fatally hit)
Midway
After the Japanese bombarded Midway Island, and the torpedo attacks had failed. A force of Enterprise's and Yorktown's dive-bombers hit, and sunk the Akagi, Kaga, and Soryu. This devestating blow cause the Hiryu to launch it's aircraft to hit and wound the Yorktown.
(Akagi being hit by a bomb)
Soon after the bomb strike on Yorktown, the Hiryu soon sunk by the Hornet. Later the I-22 sunk the Yorktown with a fatal torpedo blow.
(Two TBDs circling the Yorktown, after being told to due to the deck damage, seeing the final torpedo strike.)
Chile
Chile has received new Me-102 Counter-fire fighters to strengthen their air force, made to counter and sink the Spanish Navy.
(A Me-102 lands in Chile)
Austria v Germany
An Austrian LA-4N flies into German airspace, causing two BF-109G6s to fly and shoot down the LA-4N.
(A BF-109G6 shoots at the LA-4N over a lake)

@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 @SPsidearm No, it's because Austria is allied with Russia, and they have bunkers all over their borders. Remember this isn't world war II, this is different. But Austria might soon fall with Hungary and Germany fighting Austria.
@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26
