This is a second round of this survey from ~7 months ago.
The text below is copied near exactly.
Yes, you read that right, SOIAN Survey.
In case you aren't aware, the Soia Empire is the owner of Graingy.
Graingy is basically their low-tech manufacturing division for their Economic Games (that is to say, purposefully limiting themselves to present a challenge because otherwise they're overpowered to the point of being boring).
I've been asked by my boss, U. Geminus, Graingy CEO and Soian leader, to put up a survey on this site in search of some good names for a few Dreadnoughts in the Soian Star Fleet (S.S.F.).
S.S.F. vessels stick mostly within one universe and exert predominant influence there. Most Dreadnoughts have a tapered Star Destroyer-esque shape with a much more built-up dorsal side.
Many have been stuck with only numbers for years now, and Bossman thinks it's getting a bit bothersome
We already have:
(Roughly in order of construction)
-Victorious
-Dominance
-Ultimatum
-Titan I class (The four individual ships could use names, though.)
-Titanora
-Citadel
-Golias
-Rodney
-Tinadoar
-The Tinasaurs (Three ships, named I-III)
-Gaiath
-Titan II
-Dogma class (Two virtually identical ships, again could use names)
Also taken:
-Codename: Contactor (Placorarcoran Empire - Nuisance organization that most of the S.S.F. spends its time containing and studying)
-Codename: Steamtrain (Placorarcoran Empire)
-Codename: Steamtrain Prototype (Placorarcoran Empire)
-Codename: Hefter (Placorarcoran Empire)
-Codename: Winder (Placorarcoran Empire, destroyed but still considered taken)
-Disintegrator (Rogue?)
-Codename: Splitter (PA-002 - Rival Superpower, biggest enemy of Soia)
Newly adopted (as of last posting of this survey):
To be adopted:
(Disclaimer: I have been told that, legally, none of these vessels are up for adoption in any way, shape, or form.)
(Glossary:
Building: Soian term describing how a component is constructed upwards.
Spanning: Soian term describing how much of the base hull is covered by a component, such as the superstructure.
Leveled: Soian term for the different layers of a ship, usually 2km each on a S.S.F. Dreadnought. The base hull is the largest such layer by area.
Nose Bridge: Part of a ship just before the nose, typically square and painted a single colour.
Hybrid Engines: Uses both calm-burning "vent" engines and more violently burning "blast" engines as part of the primary propulsion.)
List:
(In no particular order)
-(Assigned name: S.S.S Warspite, description remains included for sake of example) 40km long, 30km wide bright blue hulled mid-size battleship Dreadnought with large superstructure. It's painted in a manner like how the older ships were. If it were purple it'd sport the Soian colours, with that orange belt on the superstructure...
-70km long, 80km wide grey hulled armed mobile base with greatly-spanning slowly-building superstructure. Orange highlighted regions, not my paygrade to know if they designate anything. It has an on-board amusement park, or so I hear.
-45km long, 20km wide grey hulled compact Supercarrier with smoothly sloping superstructure and prominent side plains (platforms). The superstructure sure is orange. The superstructure topside and the hanger port underneath gives it a back-heavy appearance, since the front half is thin to the point of being nicknamed "The Wafer".
-35km long, 30km wide almost entirely grey bombardment Dreadnought with blocky-building superstructure and more rounded hull taper. The underside cannons are painted red as if to signify "danger". The engines are also, oddly, arranged in a square, giving its whole wall-like stern a very peculiar aura.
-60km long, 40km wide almost entirely grey heavy fleet Dreadnought with tall gradually-building sleek-leveled superstructure. Its hybrid engines are actually rather pretty, and its largely colourless except for the red region on the bridge of its nose. The red half-pyramid bridge tower hides its fleet shield, which in turn has supposedly given it the rather odd nickname of "Bell".
-45km long, 40km wide almost entirely grey medium artillery Dreadnought with vastly-spanning superstructure possessing a frontally ramped apex. Its hybrid engines are also quite peculiar and frame themselves nicely. It seems to trade having a nose bridge, with the nose taking the red colouration, for its massive topside turret. Strangely, people often seem to forget it's bigger than the blue one (Warspite)...
If you have any ideas for a good name, throw them our way.
If you want more details on a given ship to help ideation feel free to ask.
Otherwise, any contribution is appreciated as we hunt for good titles to fit each and every one of these incredible vessels.
In the name of the Soian Empire, we thank you for your time.
