no seriously, why? i get it's probably for aesthetics reason but like... why? why is sky park metal? and most importantly, is something like that possible irl?

What else would I crash a 200 ton airliner into and it will still survive...
"JUNDROONIUM" 🙌
@ShinyGemsBro @overlord5453 ohhhh, now i get why skypark is metallic now, and the meaning behind why it's that way.
That's where you are meant to test your creations. And i say it works for that. But the obstacles are a bit too rough (the scale of it, probably just me).
And about making it in real life, yes, you can make metal float. well kinda. It's definitely going to cost a little.
@YarisSedan whatever....?
It's a testing ground.
.
The iconic stamped steel pattern represents toughness in simplicity, which is perfect for Skypark since it's a place where one would commonly test stuff. Simple place, but all the more tough to take a beating from whatever build you land on it, as it equally does to the build in return.
.
Not complex either. It's all ramps, giant cones, an oval track, some suspension proving grounds with bumps and usual stuff.
.
Simple, tough, usable.
@DrakonDynamics now that i think of it, it definitely makes sense, a man-made island made out of real soil would be way too expensive, so... i guess i could see why whoever or whatever built skypark decided to use metal instead of real soil and stone
Probably. Look at oil rigs. As for why? Idk. Maybe it was cheap.
