rotator work well only in water.in the air it are the wrost.you need 2 propeller.1reverse another one not reverse,to not make vehicle not tilt left or right.
@Dragoranos noted, though doesn't adding freespinning rotator make them generate less thrust? I remember a while back it but like, that's 3 years ago I think at this point
First of all, the prop pitch is like a car's gearbox
Less torque but more speed. In a high prop pitch the plane gets speed fast, but doesnt get to high velocities
But that of course doesnt matter in SP. The ideal prop pitch is 15°. Four blade props are the best here
Remove drag from the props or make them very low. Higher RPM doesnt mean higher power cuz the game starts bugging. You have to find the sweet spot. Keep in mind these engines always will generate more power at higher physics settings and slow motion
The rotator needs to be put at 1000% speed too. One thing I discovered is that if you put a free-spin rotator behind the "powered" one, it removes all torque
Make propeller with angled wing Or a wing with control surface to have more control over it. Bigger the wing and faster the rotator, the more thrust you get. You can rescale them if it's getting too big. Remember to remove drag and mass from wings for efficiency. Works best in higher physics setting. You can only increase the speed of rotators to like 8. After that it freaks out. And they produce torque so have two rotators spinning clockwise and counterclockwise, either on the sides or on a common axis (coaxial).
@Monarchii in all honesty, what I did to boost speed was just to increase rotator speed, add more propellors, or it might be worth having a look into what affects the lift generated by wings, if dragScale does, then increase that
@Axartar noted, far as I tested, you can only go fast the more.. steep the angle of the propeller is, any idea how to make it so that generate more thrust/speed without going over like, 30-45°?
@Monarchii I stole one from someone like 5 years ago and used it on a sub i built, which works, they work using insanely fast rotators, and using angled wings to generate thrust, also since you need them to not screw with your movement, you need even numbers of them going opposite directions on opposite sides of the craft

@overlord5453 do you make them bigger sideways or tallways? which ones more preferable?
@Axartar hm, aite, I'll experiment with it further later
@Monarchii You Can Learn And Use It From One Of My Experimental Aircraft, Here Is Also a More Complex Version Of It
Did some experiments with this some years ago

Ill do more tests now

Rotator physics are whack af.

@Monarchii to the best of my knowledge. heres the build where I stole someones engine here

@Randomplayer yeah, never got much experience with it so
Like.. rotator engine?
