The Global Air Combat branch of the Tactical Forces Military is their aerial warfare arm; deployed to hot zones across the world to establish air superiority or assist national air forces in defending their territories from invasion.
The combat and support wings are numerous in the TFMGAC. But here, only the more famous ones are to be discussed and shown:
51st Combat Wing, "The Glorious Greentails"
The 51st is the longest active of all existing TFMGAC combat wings. Founded in the Second World War, the Greentails have established themselves as the gold standard of the Tactical Forces Military's frontline airpower; giving birth to the most skilled combat pilots of the branch until this very day.
Aurora Squadron (Tailcode: AA)
* The air superiority group of the 51st. Flies high performance fighters such as the F-22E Shadow Raptor to battle adversaries of equal capabilities. Aurora Squadron possesses the highest recorded kill counts in the history of the TFMGAC.
Snake Squadron (Tailcode: WA)
* A squadron consisting mainly of multirole fighters such as the F-16G Mamba Viper or the MiG-35 Super Fulcrum. True to their role as Jacks of All Trades, they are responsible for a plethora of missions; be it Air Combat Patrols, air defense, support, ground attack, and so on, possessing the highest level of versatility in the 51st.
Raider Squadron (Tailcode: RS)
* A dedicated surface attack group, flying armored strike jets like the A-10 Thunderbolt or the Su-25 Frogfoot to pound land targets flat or sink targets at sea. They operate attack helicopters as well, and is the only squadron of the 51st to do so.
Buzzer Squadron (Tailcode: BZ)
* The air interdiction group of the Greentails. They are responsible for conducting deep strikes or raids behind enemy lines, and are infamous for their supersonic low flying to evade hostile radar coverage. They mainly fly the F/A-18E/F Buzzer/Super Hornets, but still operate the vintage F-14E Buzzer Tomcat in very limited numbers.
52nd Combat Wing, "The Arctic Bluetails"
The sister squadron of the 51st Combat Wing. Stationed at Avalanche Airbase in Snowstone and serving as the Arctic island's primary defenders against foreign attacks and raids. Majority of operations, strategies, and tactics used by the 52nd are similar to the 51st, hence the two being sisters.
Aurora Borealis Squadron (Tailcode: AB)
* The northern counterpart of the legendary Aurora Squadron. Has the very same air superiority role as their Greentail siblings. Although far younger, the skills of their pilots are nonetheless equal to the former.
Tundra Squadron (Tailcode: TW)
* The multirole squadron of 52nd, similar to the Snake Squadron of the 51st. Mainly flies the MiG-35 to conduct their missions; support, surface attack, patrols, etc.
Blizzard Squadron (Tailcode: BL)
* An auxiliary air superiority squadron, commonly deployed to provide the Aurora Borealis squadron additional airpower, or to take over missions the other squadrons are unable to deploy units for. Though a spare unit, they nevertheless have excellent pilots.
Glacier Squadron (Tailcode: GL)
* A long range air superiority/multirole squadron. Possesses wider operational radius compared to the rest of the 52nd's combat groups, and have a higher number of fighters and pilots.
173rd Combat Wing "The Screaming Yellowtails"
The famed "underdogs" that kept defying odds in combat. Their successes have cemented their status as the prime rivals of the legendary 51st Combat Wing; with their squadrons often butting heads with the latter in training missions. They primarily focus on Air Superiority, but are still multirole-capable.
Sunrise Squadron (Tailcode: AM)
* The first air superiority fighter group of the 173rd. The largely fly Su-30 Flankers and are well known for their integration of post-stall maneuvers into their tactics.
High Noon Squadron (Tailcode: HN)
* A more advanced fighter group, using 5th generation fighters such as the F-22E Shadow Raptor as their primary combat jets. They are the second squadron to have the highest kill count in the 173rd Combat Wing.
Sunset Squadron (Tailcode: PM)
* The frontline air superiority squadron. They now fly Su-57 Felons after replacing their fleet of Su-27s during the rollout of the 173rd's modernization plan. This unit holds the highest overall kill count of the Yellowtails.
Midnight Squadron (Tailcode: MN)
* The last air superiority squadron of the 173rd Combat Wing. Somewhat true to their name, fighters of the Midnight Squadron are often deployed at night to conduct evening raids past the front lines.
32nd Bomber Wing, "The BUFF"
The TFMGAC's premier strategic strike unit. They have seen action in Vietnam and the Gulf War, and are responsible for the largest of the TFM's modern day bombing runs across many battlefields. Their squadrons are themed after apparitions.
Specter Squadron (Tail/Fuselage code: GH)
* The most advanced bomber squadron of the 32nd. Specter Squadron is the home of the TFMGAC's elite B-2A Neo Spirit stealth bomber fleet, and are the most deployed into warzones to conduct preliminary carpet bombardment on the front lines and core areas to weaken enemy defenses before the advancement of ground units. The Specter Squadron often coordinates with the TFM Army's artillery divisions.
Wraith Squadron (Tailcode: WS)
* The second most advanced bomber squadron. This unit flies the venerable F-117 Neohawk and are far faster than the Specter Squadron in response time. Wraith Squadron very often conducts "Wild Weasel" missions to clear out hostile air defenses to assist in establishing air superiority over an area defended by the opposition.
Ghoul Squadron (Tailcode: AG)
* A heavy strategic bomber squadron. The Ghoul Squadron conducts more conventional frontline bombing runs for allied forces in large conflicts involving the TFMGAC, and are commonly seen compared to the first two. They possess a fleet of both Tu-95MSM Bears and B-52H Stratofortresses.
Soul Squadron (Tailcode: SQ)
* A fast strike unit that emphasizes low altitude, high speed bombing runs; following the flight doctrine of the 51st Combat Wing's Buzzer Squadron. The Soul Squadron largely operates B-1B Lancers and are known to assist Wraith Squadron in wiping out enemy air defenses and/or destroying concentrations of hostile ground units in devastating runs.
