CIM Terrorists Performed Unsuccessful Major Terrorist Attack At Resort

On December 8, at 5:02 A.M., a black van driven by CIM terrorists crashed near the entrance hall of the Green Tropics Island Resort in Jungle Island.

Prior to the event, the terrorists arrived at Jungle Island on December 6, and made a prior reservation at the Blue Ocean Resort (located about 12 kilometers from Green Tropics). During early morning-hour maintenance by an electrician (whose name has been made anonymous), he witnessed all four men walking along the parking lot, carrying assault rifles and entering into a black van. He immediately contacted staff, where they in turn called the authorities. The Jungle Island Police Force (JIPF) notified the FBEIC (Federal Bureau for the Enforcement of Illicit Conduct) of the threat, and three IMVs and a helicopter were dispatched. Soon, an eleven-minute, high-speed pursuit ensued between the FBEIC and the terrorists.

After they crashed, two of the four men emerged from the vehicle and began shooting at the approaching FBEIC vehicles. A fierce, short-lived firefight between the two opposing parties followed, resulting in one FBEIC personnel and the two men wounded.

The two remaining terrorists, still inside the vehicle, threw a hand grenade at the FBEIC personnel, but it failed to explode. One minute later, the terrorists emerged from the vehicle and surrendered. They were taken into custody at the Disciplinary Institution at South Winter Island.

The two wounded terrorists were taken to Jungle Island Medical Center, where one of them would die from cardiac arrest during surgery. The autopsy report stated that the bullet entered the terrorist’s chest and into the heart, penetrating the right atrium and exiting his body. Currently, the surviving terrorist is enduring a coma and is under critical condition.

Their intentions are currently unknown, but it is likely that it was a revenge attack for the December 4 airstrike. The terrorists are affiliated with TER, a military faction that has close ties with the CIM.

One hour after the incident, the resort underwent a lockdown and police began to investigate the scene. They discovered and seized four packs of ammonium nitrate, each weighing about 5.3 kilograms, a large ampoule containing cesium, a pack of penthrite weighing about 2.6 kilograms, four Velata V-88Ks, grenades, an RPG-7, gas masks, and seven glass vials containing an unknown liquid dubbed “Agent 15”, which turned out to be sarin. The discovery of chemical weapons and high explosives quickly caught media attention, and the news at the SP-Verse soon reached the Veridisian Federation at its main universe, where President Newmont would make a public statement at 8:00 A.M. on television.

“To the Veridisian people, the Federation nearly witnessed the same fate as the July 20, 2020 and the October 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. While Gematria in Kivotos may be long gone, a new, potential threat from the SP-Verse is emerging. Some of you may haven’t realized this yet, but their name is the CIM, which stands for the Communist Isolationist Monarchy, governed under their fascist leader, Emperor Ronteres. They strive for the total obliteration of the Federation, and the genocide of innocent Veridisian civilians and personnel alike. On November 23, the CIM inflicted serious damage to the Veridisian Navy at the SP-Verse, sinking twelve vessels and killing 203 of our brave personnel. Five days later, a bomb that was planted near Governor Wyatt’s residency detonated, claiming the lives of ten people, including two children. As a response to the attacks, the Federal Council had designated the CIM as a full-fledged terrorist organization under the principles of the 1983 Terrorist Organization Assignment Act, resulting in a retaliatory air strike conducted by the Veridisian Air Force against a strategic air base operated by the CIM on December 4. But it seemed that the CIM refused to back down, and instead took repercussions to a whole new level of depravity and utter wickedness. In other words, they yearned for revenge. If such a violent and brutal attack were to ever occur, the deaths of three hundred Veridisians would be guaranteed, if it weren’t for that maintenance man to act skeptically in such an extremely dangerous situation. Now, as a nuclear-armed state, we had threatened to annihilate the CIM in one swift blow with our nuclear weapons in the pass, but due to the fear of radiation accumulating in the atmosphere, contaminating a world where elements such as uranium or plutonium doesn’t exists, we had declined the deployment of such weapons. We are running out of options to deal with the CIM, and it seemed that invasion would be the ultimate, final solution to end a completely pointless war that should have ended without consequences. Instead, these so-called “revenge groups”, with the help of the fascist terrorist named Ronteres and his CIM, resulted in a second war which called for the obliteration of everyone, including the Veridisians. Under my orders, shall the two apprehended terrorists be executed on December 20 through firing squad. The electrician shall be rewarded V£.100,000 for making such a heroic duty to our nation. The CIM hasn’t, and will never learn their lesson, until they will face the consequences one day. Glory Veridisia Thee.”

AFTERMATH

As stated by President Newmont, Governor Wyatt awarded the electrician V£.100,000. A monument in honor of the electrician is planned to be constructed near the Governmental Building, including a golden plaque inscribing the names of the FBEIC agents involved in the incident.

The two apprehended terrorists are now placed on death row, where they are planned to be executed by firing squad on December 20.

On December 9, due to the possibility of terrorist attacks by the CIM becoming more apparent, under Resolution 23181, martial law was imposed on all Veridisian territories within the SP-Verse. The IVMRR (Immediate Veridisian Military Retaliatory Response) has been downgraded to Level 3 since it was first updated on November 20. However, the Veridisian military remains on high alert for possible skirmishes with the CIM.

The TER has been designated as a terrorist organization.
