Gözcü: Ottoman Reconnaissance Biplane
Code name: Altan-14
The Gözcü is a biplane I designed, inspired by the idea of the Ottoman Empire having its own aerospace industry before World War I. It’s built with:
- A lightweight wooden frame
- Fabric wings
- A single open cockpit
The plane is painted red and cream with simple markings. It’s powered by a rotary engine and uses a two-blade wooden propeller.
Important Note
The wheels on this plane have an issue:
- They pull to the left during takeoff.
- I’ve tested the plane repeatedly and confirmed it is balanced, but the issue remains.
If you choose to modify it, do so at your own risk, as even small changes could disrupt the balance.
Inspiration
This is my first plane, inspired by an AI-generated photo of an Ottoman biplane. While it doesn’t look exactly like the photo, I’ve done my best to bring the idea to life.
Thank you for trying it out!

@F16xl thanks man for the appreciation and your support and my plane and my video isn't that good. I learn these things from you guys who are already on this website, you guys are doing fantastic job. So I m nothing compared to you guys and I really appreciate that because the more better you are the more I learn from you guys.
Hey, I saw you upvoted one of my posts and saw you were bronze, often times I look at bronze accounts to see if they’re worth following, planes like this are freakishly rare amoungst bronze players, but to join 2 DAYS AGO, that’s crazy. I have also subbed to your YT channel [that video of yours is SUPERB], after all, I’ve just started my own 11 days ago
