Pedal? Switch? Or other? How does the engine starter for P-40 "E" exist?

Hello. I would like to know one thing. I would like to know how the engine of the Curtis P-40 "E" starts.
First of all, I am fortunate that there are plenty of pdf manuals and videos on the engine starting procedure, and I have already understood it to the point where I can grasp it. Various batteries, fuel pump, magnetos, primers. This next step. I can't figure out the procedure for when the propeller spins...or more accurately, ignites the engine.
I have spent the last few months researching this on YouTube and on English and Russian speaking websites from over 10 years ago and have noticed that the P-40 has a variation on the engine starter.
Starter pedal in front of the yaw pedal
Starter switch next to the seat
Some mechanism near the throttle lever, although its existence is uncertain
We expect to find one of these three types or another mechanism. Does anyone know?

@KisherSmord How reassuring! Thank you for your reply, my inner hypothesis was also "pedal".
I have a starter "switch" on one of the side breaker switches on the P-40B and on a lower position on the side of the P-40N, but there is no such switch or box in the cockpit of the P-40E.
In the few photos I could find, there is a pedal with the word "starter" engraved on the foot, but I was not sure if it was an E model. I could not verify it, because in all the photos and websites of surviving E-type machines, that pedal was the only one missing or in a blind spot.

I believe your reply. Now I can get back to work. Your reply brought me not only knowledge but morale. Thank you. ありがとう〜!!!!

The P-40E usually had a starter pedal near the rudder pedals. The pilot pressed it with their foot to start the engine.

Some versions might have had a starter switch near the throttle or seat, but the pedal was the most common setup.

The exact setup depended on the model and modifications.

This is the first time I've seen someone make such a sensible forum post. You've earned my respect, man.
