Jeju Air 2216, A Boeing 737-8AS registered as HL8088 has crashed while trying to make a belly landing at Muan International Airport, South Korea. The flight took off at Bangkok suvarnabhumi Airport and was heading to Muan. When the aircraft was ready for landing, the plane landing gear seemed to have not been working. The aircraft then went on for a belly landing when suddenly The aircraft veered off the runway and crashed into a barrier. 181 passenger was onboard the aircraft, and 79 has been confirmed to be killed. Not many information has been found because the incident is still under investigation.

there was a bird strike right before the first landing attempt. after the pilots declared mayday, they went around and did a teardrop maneuver returning to the airport. on the second landing attempt, the landing gear lost hydraulic power which means the gear was stuck up. it was too late, so they did a belly landing and they overran the runway. later they crashed onto a concrete barrier, killing basically all passengers onboard.
this is currently south korea's deadliest plane crast yet, killing 179 and leaving 2 with severe injuries.
once again, boeing is being investigated and it's reputation only got worse.
