Today, Jeju Air Flight 2216 crashed. The aircraft was en route from Suvarnabhumi Airport near Bangkok, Thailand, to Muan International Airport in Muan County, South Korea.
The plane crashed into a wall after its landing gear failed to deploy and it overshot the runway. Although it has not been officially confirmed, 179 passengers are reported to have passed away. Some reports suggest a bird strike occurred before landing, as the crew issued a Mayday alert.
It is truly tragic to end 2024 with two aviation accidents

Already like 5 days after the disaster, and 3 days after the official conclusions of almost all experts, witnesses and just a photo of damage from an anti-aircraft missile...

@Convex in the beginning we had a alaska airlines 737 max that lost a door panel after takeoff and that runway collision in japan after an earthquake and now 2 incidents and 3 fatal crash landings before we start another year. now it's more than alarming ngl

Another one almost happened today (another jeju air plane) it was coming in with no landing gear but it was fixed before they even touched the ground and it was a domestic flight
