[MDA/SA-Wars] Retirement and Introduction

46.8k KPLBall  16 days ago

With the end coming for the original F-33 variants, and TUPL making a new one, the ICI has chosen to retire most of its legacy vehicles.

F-33SX and FA-33:

The workhorses of the ICI, the F-33SX and FA-33 are being retired with the introduction of an F-33S variant on TUPL's new F-33 Variant.
All FA-33s will be retired Tomorrow while all F-33SX variants will retire from active duty on Saturday next week, Central Time, but will remain as a trainer until late 2027, if the MDA lasts that long.

Charioteer MK1 and Charioteer MK2

The Charioteer MK1 & MK2 are APCs built on the Crusader MK1 Chassis. The last of the Charioteers are being retired from MDA Service at 1:00PM Central Time today, I will still make variants of this tank for people that use is, most likely Sidearm and Snowstone, because the Charioteer MK1 & MK2 have potential, but are no where near fit enough for MDA Service like the Charioteer II.

M72 & M73

The M72 Crocodile and M73 Kicker are being replaced by the MDA-S Canopic and MDA-S Romanic respectively. These Artillery units were held in backup for cases like the STL War but never saw service again. The Canopic will replace the Crocodile as the long range artillery while the Romanic will replace the Kicker as the mobile howitzer carriage.

Excelsior MK1, MK2, MK3, & MK3-25.

The four MBT variants of the Excelsior I will all be retired from activate MDA use two days from now, for the ones in training, will retire sometime in March because of the MCCVH taking over that role. Although the Excelsior I series of tanks was a good series, it was obsolete for MDA use by the introduction of the MK3 variant.

Others I wasn't able to do

Disclaimer: I wasn't able to do these due to factors like poor track records or never seeing important roles.
First, the MDA-SPAA Cromwell MK1 is being retired in favor of the MADSSRS system, this means the Comet will be placed in reserves until Mid 2026. Second, the MDA-S Ram MK4 will be getting replaced by a upcoming prototype armored car. Third, the MDS-FC1 is being removed from service because the FA-33s are being retired. Fourth, the MDS-FB1 will be retired in favor of the prototype MDS-FB2.

The vehicles listed will all be for sale when I officially announce their retirement from active MDA Service (except for the FC1) and some of the ones in storage (for the FC1 it is the only one) will be placed in Museums and some will be actioned off, some to other militaries, some to private collectors.
