the 2 rail lines (it originally was one continuous but the track was separated years ago and partly abandoned) near me are the oldest (or some of the oldest) active track in California (they are turning 150 years old some time soon). the part that is still active is owned by Union Pacific while the second part is half abandoned and owned by a handful of small harratage railways.
