    Newer model.
    SP seemingly used to have a really cartoony art dirction, see the old Beast and the USS Tiny, but has gone more realistic over time. Also, the company has presumably grown and gained more resources for better assets.
    Same with parts, newer parts are much more finely modeled and far more intricate in their function.
    See: Heli Rotor, Custom propellers, the OG propeller.
    Each has a more complex model than the last, and each is more complicated in customization, physics, and function.
    It's not just visuals.

    Modern destroyers try to be more invisible on radars, they mostly have missile weapons (which do not look as detailed as guns), differences in antenna types and strong differences in the designs of the ships themselves.
