When I started playing SP, many old players (who remained) were toxic to me and called me untalented, although there were good ones, now I understand why they were so toxic to me, I also helped newbies, but I was disappointed because of some unscrupulous SP users, now I rarely help newbies.

I guess I'm one of the old players, although the reason I don't seem that active is because I don't go looking for forums or airplanes that much. I don't even download much at all, unless requested to test something. If I stumble across a forum asking for help, I might make an effort, and if I'm asked outright then I'll make an effort to provide some help.

So to sum up, even though I check the site very frequently, I often just open it to check for notifications and then close it. Sometimes, like now, I browse someone's comments for no reason in particular and end up on something I want to comment on (for example this).

i've been here for almost 10yrs and still suck at interiors, we'll all get there some day lmao

also 'old players' can have been around for up to 10 years, so for most people starting in teenage years, are now full legal adults with jobs/studying with responsibilities

Times change. Back when I started, it was very common to leave feedback on how to make something fly better or work better on a post. I don't really do such a thing anymore because I'm not too active. Besides, I believe my work on SimpleCheats II has been a big enough help for me to mostly stay in the background nowadays

i provide tips when i can but i was never that good. Hell i've been told by multiple newer players who made it to platinum to just not upload

People grow up and change, id say based off when I was in my prime, 90% of the people who were my friends are gone, unlikely to return, and that was only 5 years ago. I recommend the discords if you need help, forums can be hit or miss, always have been. The people who have stuck around tend to be friendly enough if you ask them imo
