So, I own a Hololens 2 device... Developer edition with the dev channel preview build version of windows holographic 11.
Would the creators be up for adapting a version for me to play on the HL2? It supports unity etc. Preferentially immersion based.
Or does anyone have any thoughts about filling this gap? I don't want to buy meta or oculus because it would be downgrading, as well a degrading.
As a reference to the HL1 minecraft showcase that can be found on YouTube, it would be awesome to have a 3rd person map perspective.
@AndrewGarrison can I get a moment of your time to ponder this?
@FlyOnTheWall well you can just tag them but idk if they respond tho
you use @ and someone's username on the site(the dev's one is AndrewGarrison)
@SuperSuperTheSylph if you look up the hololens 1 minecraft showcase on YouTube, it would be similar to what I would love to do with simple planes. I already can export my models as obj files which is supported by HL2 and view them in my environment plus it runs on arm64. So ideally since they already have a vr version, it shouldn't take much to adapt it. How can I tag a game dev to see this post?
@FlyOnTheWall oh oki then :)
@SuperSuperTheSylph lol starting price is 3.5k that's without extra accessories. I bought it out right. But they say it won't receive updates but it doesn't mean that by then I can't make my own... haha
@FlyOnTheWall also....that thing is 3.5 bricks(3.5k $)i do not wanna question how did you get that
and it would be kinda possible to implement since SP is slower paced game
(atl until 2027 when it will no longer receive updates)
@FlyOnTheWall kk
@SuperSuperTheSylph look it up on YouTube. It is amazing
hololens?first time i hear of that device
