Oof. Also what @danixvi said. Forums are your best friend (although too much gets annoying) I usually limit myself to 1-2 forums a day to not clog the forum page :)
you should know that the forums are a great way to learn and ask questions. almost everything i learnt is from forums. and tinker around as there is no better teacher than figuring out stuff yourself.
This game is generally patience
You won't get rly good until like 2 years or so
but honestly thats the fun part, even though old me wouldn't have thought so lol
Jokes aside, I'd be willing to give you some pointers (cough indoctrinate cough) if you need some.
A few basics... Well, "basics":
Use overload to change primary wings to structural wings by changing part ID from Wing-3 to Wing-2. This may have physics changes, IDK, and there are some associated damage model glitches (since this was never intended when the game was being made). This makes the wing inflexible
You can increase engine power primarily through the means of thrust multiplier (or whatever the value is called), which simply multiplies it, or changing the multiplier on the input scale. For example, changing it to 2 would cause 100% throttle to be read by a 15kN engine as 200% throttle. The game will make the engine take twice as long to throttle to max, and output 30kN. Engine sound changes, fuel consumption doubles, and the flame becomes longer and I think also faster in its animation. Input 0.1 and thrust 10 would cause a nearly silent engine with a tenth the fuel consumption and near instant throttle control. Same thrust, though.
As for website tips, uhhhhh... Oh, here's a good one: rank doesn't really mean much. Yes, it impacts spotlighting (sharing another's craft to your followers) since you need more points than the person you're spotlighting, but skill range and experience varies wildly. I've been playing on and off for 8 years but am pretty sucky at the game. I'm only Platinum because I'm one of the personalities here. Some newbies will quickly become geniuses by the time they're in Gold rank.
Don't stress it, what's most important on here is having a good reputation.

(just copy this for tagging me, @Convex )
@Icey21 And then you have people coming out of the bushes with the skills of a master. Somehow.

I am god.
Mods completely change the game, but too much just ruins the experience. Also there’s a multiplayer mod
