This project had to be canceled because hits.seeyoufarm.com was discontinued! For more information, see this post.
Important note:
I‘m not exactly sure if this counter works as intended. I‘m currently running some tests to find out more. Currently, the Counter in the Bottom might be more accurate. More information about this can be found below.
Visitors today / total
Since I was interested in the visitors count of simpleplanes.com and couldn‘t find anyone else who did this, I decided to create a counter. Note that this doesn‘t include visits before counting was started (date: see below). Feel free to suggest other statistics or counters in the comments.
Source: seeyoufarm.com
Note: Counting started 06.03.2025 (March 2025), around 01:40 PM UTC
Debug tests
Just a few things I test for debugging
The (possibly) more accurate counter:
People who visit the Airplanes page:
Counting started: 06.03.2025 (March 2025), 07:45 PM UTC
Simplerockets.com Counter:
Doesn't seem to work either...
Counting started 06.03.2025, 07:59 PM UTC
Another counter (https://www.simpleplanes.com) (from hits.sh)
Doesn't work either...
News and Changes:
All times and dates are UTC
- 06.03.2025, 07:49 PM: What I currently know:
- The counter I originally used might count the visitors of this post (even though I entered the link to the main page to track)
- My theory: it might be because this post on simpleplanes.com. To check that I added a simplerockets.com counter.
- I added a counter for simpleplanes.com/Airplanes/Hot. Since this post isn't a sub-page (or however you call it in English) of that, I hope that it works better.
- 06.03.2025, 08:20 PM: I just tried adding the simpleplanes counter to a JNO description, and it even counted when I reloaded that craft.
- 06.03.2025, 08:28 PM: I now contacted the developer, this seems to be some strange Bug (I think)
- 26.03.2025, 06:40 AM: seeyoufarm just vanished, including all counters...
@jamesPLANESii That is for the main page, not for this post.
@TheVizzyLucky The first one for visitors?
@jamesPLANESii Which one do you mean? There is no counter for this post.
@TheVizzyLucky Wha... the counter for this page works though! Just refresh this page and you'll see the counter going up every time you refresh!
@jamesPLANESii The problem is: There is no counter for this page. There are only counters for the main page (https://www.simpleplanes.com), the Airplanes > Hot page (https://www.simpleplanes.com/Airplanes/Hot) and JNO‘s website (https://www.simplerockets.com).
@TheVizzyLucky for me, when I refresh this page, it counts up for only this Page's counter and the rest stay the same, so it works for me
@jamesPLANESii That's sadly because you refreshed this post. If you refresh this post without going to the page, it will count up too.
@jamesPLANESii Oh, now I got what you meant
@jamesPLANESii That's what it does for me too. I intended it to count the visitors of the main page (simpleplanes.com itself, not some post) though. And that's the URL I used, not the one of this post, that's why I was confused when it counted the visitors of this post.
@TheVizzyLucky It's working for me. If I go to the page, go back to this page then refresh, it goes up by 1
@jamesPLANESii It seems to only count up when I refresh this post, not when I go to the page that should be counted. The second number is so high because it startet at ~1150 instead of 0. The values of the debug counters are too low too.
seems to work
@keiyronelleavgeek566 I'm not sure if that counter is correct, it might be the visitors of this post (even though I entered the link to the homepage...). I'm still trying to find out more. Still, the site is indeed dead lately...
this site is so ded lately
Btw, I‘m planning a similiar (but bigger) ‘‘research‘‘ project in JNO. I‘ll probably start it together with my next upload… whatever that will be.
