F-14 A/B vs F/A-18 C/E Comparison at BVR and classic dogfight (do not use the age of the aircraft, I want to know how the latest block of each compares

So WWIIPlanebuilder & I have been arguing about the F-14 vs F-18 in DCS. Which one is better at air to air combat, the F-14 A(or B, not D) or the F-18 E(or A). Each should be from the last production year. So, the latest superhornet compared to the F-14B from desert storm, for example.

    @HarperAstrionics Thank you, it seems that is correct...
    Unfortunately, the F-14D is not coming to DCS :(

    @HarperAstrionics Well, the 14D was the bombcat, so it is less relevant in this area.
    Thank you for the info, it really clears this up. I will wait for the hornet....
