Overview
MRNS Shinna Faultline (FFM30-04) is the fourth and the latest ship of the Type-30 Mogami-class frigate of the Monarchii Royal Navy. In short, there was an interesting reason why I make this ship. A few days ago I received a feedback from my far friend outside SimplePlanes from Indonesia, they tasked me to build a ship for tribute to someone else. As a result, this ship was born and released on my profile page.
However, it seems I've found something unsatisfying with this ship, from it's appearance and armaments. And because of this, I like to take a moment to announce that MRNS Shinna Faultline has got a buff to boost her performance and she also received a slight remodel or tweak. also, this ship also got some armament balancing or "nerf" to give a little bit of realism to avoid abnormalism.
Changelogs
In this balancing and revamp, I made some changes and little reductions. One of the buff is the addition of the new weapon, the Karambit.
And no, this is not the Karambit that you know, not that claw-looking knife with colorful blades, this missile according to the lore, said to be the Indonesian-made two-stage medium-range hypersonic missile. The addition of this new missile is to be equipped in the VLS launcher. The Karambit, as a hyper-sonic missile, has a very high cruise acceleration speed.
It is reasonable because the usage of the side missile launchers used to contain the Type 17 SSM missiles would make an unprecision launch when facing straight. You might have to adjust the angle by facing sideways depend on the missile launchers.
To comply with that issue, we decided to add an anti-ship weapon placed in the VLS launcher for precision launch. However, due to an addition of this new weapon which is occupy the VLS Launcher, I have to reduce the amount of the RIM-162 ESSM anti-air missile. Which initially numbered 16 has now been reduced to 8
Another armament buff that I've add is the change for the Bofors Mk4 autocannon.
The autocannon is now capable to intercept aerial targets just like it's real-life counterpart, making it also act as a flak cannon. It might unprecision to hit it's target but if you're lucky you may be able to take out enemy aircraft with this reworked autocannon.
Prior to the rework, the autocannon was only capable to hit surface target. But after I did some research, I've figured out that this autocannon is a multi-purpose naval cannon to engage ships, aircraft, anti-ship missiles and shore targets.
For balancing purpose, I did a nerf to this ship as well by reducing the amount of the Type 17 SSM missiles. Previously, the amount of missiles was 32, where each launcher tube held 4 missiles. The number 32 seemed too much, so I reduced the number of missiles in each launcher tube from the original 4 to 2. So, the total missiles after this nerf became 16 missiles with 2 missiles per tube. I did this to make the loadout didn't looks too abnormal with that many amount of missiles. Either way this ain't even an Arsenal ship.
not only the armament buff, MRNS Shinna Faultline also receive a performance buff.
The ship is now moves a bit faster thanks to the increased speed. The maneuver speed also been increased to add an extra agility, great for dodging torpedoes and other unexpected threats.
While working on the ship revamp, I found a "bug" where the activation group of the helicopter launch was somehow shared with the torpedo detacher. As a result of that, when you press the button to deploy the chopper (default: AG1), it also release or jettison all of the torpedoes from the ship. In this update, I have fixed this issue so that the torpedoes will no longer detached while deploying the helicopter.
Not only some buffs and upgrades, the ship also got a slight remaster. Probably because of the wrong proportion of the blueprint that I use, the rear of the ship looks shorter than it's actual counterpart. Because of it, we managed to extend the rear part of the ship to adjust the length to match the original ship
The new design of the ship still remains same, but the difference is the rear part of the ship looks.
Here's the two images for comparison, the image on top is the old version, while the bottom one is the new version. You can see the rear part of the new version is much longer than the old one. (Note: the size might inconsistent due to inaccurate zooming. The scale is not your main focus, you have to focus on the rear part of the ship only.)
I also heard a complain from some user that they said the ship looks too small. I must say something about this.
I'm using the scale of the in-game Destroyer ship for scaling. So basically I tried to match the size of the Destroyer ship to build this frigate.
If you might probably think the ship still looks undersized, I have no idea about that. Does Mogami-class frigate was supposed to be a little bit larger than the Arleigh Burke-class? Let me know about that in the comment.
By the way, it's not only an improvement to the ship, I'll still updating and add more interesting stuff to the post as well. And possibly the ship as well in the next future would get some new buffs for an indefine, unknown time. This update is not only just an update and improvement. This update also a "patch" to fix some dissatisfaction and problems that I encountered on this ship. Stay tune for some interesting stuff from me. <3

@ToastedRainbowSandwich I'm glad you liked my work <3
MRNS Shinna Faultline is available for download
Man i dont understand all of this but this looks fire❤️🔥
@LunarEclipseSP Ohhh I see :D
@TheUltimatePlaneLover you can see directly to the post itself to see to whom this tribute is addressed
Sweet :D
I am curious though, who is this person in question (that the frigate was made in tribute to)?
