How much will physics change on SP2?

28.7k Dragoranos  29 days ago

Many aspects of Simpleplanes physics could be improved.
- Drag forces in SP1 are a bit exagerated making engine output also exagerated as a compensation.
- Tyres have a terrible grip model currently
- Wing physics gets pretty janky at very low speeds
- No mach 1 drag barrier or whatever that is

Is there any information on SP2 Physics?

I don't care if it's harder, I want remotely realistic physics!

@Potato21 i agree, the way it just spontaneously explodes after being hit with MG is weird

An updated destruction model would be lovely too.

Heck yeah we need this missing physics in SP2, I just hope so

This is literally THE thing I want out of SP2. Everything else is secondary.
Even as a toggleable option, so SP1 designs can still work. I want to be able to make actually realistic planes.
SP1 compatibility shouldn't hold back SP2 from actual improvement. If it does, then SP2 is a pointless endeavour.
