I think I should make a flying gun for my second plane. Like 50 mgs, 100 or so rockets, and like 25 bombs. Good idea or horrible idea?

Dude just build it.
A first plane isn't going to be glamourous. Focus on making something that flies well enough, and make sure you understand why it does.
