I've been noticing more rule-breaking forums and planes being posted, and I feel there is not much being done. Now don't think right away I'm insulting the mods, I know they have work and such, but when they can be on, I don't see much change.. Now since I am usually on all day, and since there's many of us that have some experience as staff, I think you (developers) should choose more moderators to help out.
Simple Details
What I mean, is get maybe 3-4 more moderators, meaning 6 in total, then have them help out aswell. I say this because in total, I've posted a comment, or reported, about over maybe 20 planes. Plus I've had many experiences in moderating and such. In all, I think that these users, should be moderators:
Delphinus
XVIindustries
Rohan
The reason I said those users, I seem to notice their guiding behaviors, and really mod-worthy.
The reason I wasn't greedy and put my name there, is because obviously I may not be so trusted, due to mood swings, but if I did ever say anything or did something rude, like when I flipped on SirStupid, I apologized later. But if I WAS capable of getting mod, I've been here since the game was put on the AppStore, and I've been a loyal member ever since, plus I know the differences of rule-following and rule-breaking posts.
Go ahead and comment any thoughts, but remember if they are negative, as in insulting, keep them to yourself.
@TheLatentImage @RocketLL Well that's the thing, I see certain posts talking about upvotes, then you see the people that comment on it. Like one user posted a forum asking for platinum, basically begging for upvotes. The comments were LIT UP with "Earn it" and such, I was in there too! I just feel as the community grows, you guys will need more help..
Side question, what ever happened to pure???
More site traffic will always mean more spam, but I think we are doing well right now, we're clearing through the moderation queue quickly.
I personally think we need the community's support a little more. We cannot sort through every single post, so we require that the community is active in reporting any inappropriate posts.
Honestly I feel as if the simpleplanes community as a whole is better than it has been since I've been playing this game.
Yes, there are people who will post things that are against the rules, but that will always be the case. I don't really see an increase in these incidents. And the work load in the mod queue with reported designs has been quite manageable. Never taking me more than a few minutes to assess and act accordingly.
In your words above you say that you've seen more rule breaking forum posts and uploads that aren't being dealt with. I would like you to expand on that statement if you would. Forum posts and design uploads that break the rules are expected to be reported by the community. And myself and rocket go through that queue multiple times daily. I personally have removed countless numbers of copied designed and inappropriate comments and such.
I appreciate you voicing your thoughts, but I would have to respectfully disagree.
@TheLatentImage @PureDeath @RocketLL Do me a favor and read through this, I feel you need to read it.
@AndrewGarrison alright, thank you for responding to this, though understand I mentioned you because you are seen as the "lead Dev" and since you have control of the site and such, I thought you controlled mods and such
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries I appreciate your concern. However, I think this is a decision for the mods (who are doing an awesome job btw), and I will leave it to the them to decide if they need more help.
@AndrewGarrison I feel this is something you should read
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries kk.
@DelphFoxFan A close friend of mine, known for great aircraft and such.
I know Delphinus and Rohan should be mods, who's XVIindustries? ._.
@AeroEngineering I have experience too and would accept the role but won't put my self out front.
@Meawk it's not so bad now, but at the rate the community it's is going to be soon
@JetstreamAeroEngineering really? I havent seen it getting out of hand at all. The one time I was it get out of hand was 6 month ago when the waves of jacksepticeye copiers came in. Pretty much copied every popular plane, colored it green and black, and spammed it as many times as they could on the website
That was also before the limit to 5 lanes I think. Im not sure
@AeroEngineering totally!
@XVIindustries humble approach
@XVIindustries yeah me to!( not the experience part, the would love to be a mod one)
Would love to be a mod tho
Ok... I have moderator experience but I'm not sure I have a good enough rep to be a mod here
Ummmmm...
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries
Perhaps @DeezDucks would be a good candidate.
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries @LeoBrasi I have to agree with most of this.
@LeoBrasi I'm talking about people that have been here long.
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries what 'bout me?
@AnarchistAerospaceIndustries I agree, I try and check the newest planes frequently and report often. This community is growing rapidly and it starting to get out of hand.
