Now, I'm not suggesting super realistic bullet physics, or damage physics, but just a few ideas I'd like to get out there.
Maybe there could be gradual damage. Instead of coming loose from the plane (or blowing it up entirely in most cases), parts would have a bit of health. Not much, but some. Different parts could react differently with levels of damage. Fuselage pieces could begin to shake, and let go entirely when shot up completely, gas tanks leak when they're poked, wings could lose lift with damage, and disconnect after enough, rotators could go free spin after a bullet or two, and if the cockpit is nailed enough times the control is cut from the rest of the plane.
Added realism to plane damage?

Yesssss
I want if we crash, instead of the parts exploding, they break into smaller parts and make a debris field.
I don't like how the planes blow up randomly when hit, it's unrealistic, I'd rather see parts flying around and mangles pieces of plane than no plane to be seen lol, same with crashes
@Jackie yeah.
@bjac0 hmm...
Could the parts bounce off, with a line of code dictating that hitting a solid surface at over so-and-so miles per hour will do damage?
@Jackie well i was thinking maybe for fuzzy hitboxes, these are hitboxes that show resistance to things touching them rather than bumping off, so blocks could sink into the ground if enough force is applied.
@bjac0 The parts would have very low health, and the weapons deal very little damage. A collision would deal high damage, giving the same results as now.
@Jackie sounds good, but the only problem still is crashing the craft, now it wouldn't crash the game, but the plane would have to be going really fast in order for the plane to be half destroyed...
@bjac0 you're correct, maybe a toggle on the many for advanced damage? Those who have sub-par devices, such as myself, could turn it off to keep the game running smoothly.
@Jackie yeah, but the only issue with that is that there would have to be extra coding to detect certain blocks, like fuel tanks, etc.
@bjac0 I like the sound of that, maybe put it on the model as well? You could check the damage of your plane from how much the pieces colour changes.
Actually, something similar to a heat map would work. @Jackie
@bjac0 I see your point, the game is already enough on the tablet. Perhaps the fuselage blocks together as a whole and the wings connected as a whole would be monitered.
The only issue is that the game would have to track the health of each and every block, so crashing you're planes would crash the game... Even on a computer, it would just make the game more intensive.
Yes@Flightsonic
And possible catch fire, not blow up, just make a simple particle effect for that
Yes, next update along with the resizable wheels.
I like your proposal@Jackie
That sound like a good idea, that would be cool if they added that in sometime
