So today I was playing, and I thought: sure is lonely here in simple planes world. Then I thought if they added multiplayer servers it would be so cool to have dogfighting and races and events.
You could make ur own plane and race your friends, or shoot them down. Hopefully they add that in some updates.

I understand being unsure if it will actually release, just take note of how long Skyrim's multiplayer mods are taking (though that's a bigger game with far more things to sync, less stock mod support, and several other things, but even laying the base took them a long time, and they're really not even "done" yet...).
@HellFireKoder really? I didn't know it was long-distance. That's really cool! I look forward to using it when/if it's released :)
@jsaret The mod isn't just local, UnstableOrbit is in New Jersey and I'm in New York, and we did that preview. (LAN also works, I've tested that with friends and family inside my local network).
Edit: We also did a short test, early on, with one of the SP devs, who was in Saint Louis.
Yes, multiplayer would be cool. No, sadly, I don't see the devs making a native multiplayer, or anyone making a non-local multiplayer. PC/OSX players will be able to do local multiplayer with other PC/OSXers someday when the mod is released (if it ever is, no offense guys).
