'Wait for the previous planes on featured to have the moments in the spot light run out after some time' Plus you cant get on featured when your gold+ I was plain lucky.
@ShatteredAviation I don't know, maybe because once gold you generally have more followers and are more well-known, and featured is so people see something amazing that otherwise wouldn't really be noticed?

@ShatteredAviation I belive it is for designs that are impressive and get aren't that well seen. gold users can get it but rarely.

I had a C-17 featured a while back. Im pretty sure featured just displays aircraft that are trending (lots of upvotes/downloads)
