@Hadesrocks I recently started using fuselage clipping and custom paints, but I usually have no need for panels (I just use structural wings) and I always use fuselages.
Try not to use a lot of structural wings and make sure the back doesn't just stop look at some of my planes I make them smaller and raise the angle and best of all think of a good name if u have a good name people will notice if you say something like Sukhoi people won't notice and most importantly the picture the picture is the most important part when uploading your plane so take time to get it right and be nice and you'll get attention from the bigger people and some will follow you to see your progress!!! Have fun!
@Pilotmario I have posted multiple variants of a plane before (P-62 Swallow and P1 Deathhawk/P-42 Foxhound), but I haven't really thought outside the box yet.
Look around for ideas. Nudge controls are a great friend if you play with it on Steam. Tinker with a design, and don't be afraid to try something crazy. Because it can be so crazy it just might work. When you find a design you are satisfied with, tinker with it and make variants. Post the variants up and you will be fine.
Try heavily modifing a basic Jundroo plane. My Falkon 372 is a heavily modified P51-Mustang and all of my other Falkon planes are heavily modified versions of the 372!!
@Hadesrocksz I know.
Panels are great for vanilla players working with details @Thunderscreech

Details are awesome, fuselage and structural panels are the bomb. Fuselage overlap is just godly, and paint goes for a lot
@Thefalloutplayr Thanks for the tips on designing.

Take a look at my reaper drone take some notes@Thunderscreech

Me too, sub assemblies are what I use @Thunderscreech
@SUPERSAMROCK I am a mobile user, and I do not know how to XML Mod aside from using subassemblies.

Rotators are awesome. Also use small xml modded fuselage to add detail.

@Flightsonic Ok. I'll try to make a VTOL plane tommorow.
@Thunderscreech Complicated eh? For modern, VTOL and STOL are nifty, agility and speed
@MrSilverWolf I downloaded and saved the parts, and they look pretty nice.
@Flightsonic I always use fuselages.
@Flightsonic Thank you, but I want to make some more complex aircraft.
I have some parts here but they are mostly for airliners but feel free to use them. @Thunderscreech
Your planes aren't bad at all
@Thunderscreech Use fuselages only, blocks are only there from versions before, think sleek (Unless it's a replica)
@Flightsonic Well, duh. But any tips for making my planes look better?
Think outside the box
Wing, motor, body
