Title is pretty self-explanatory. As of right now, the crosshairs and missile targeting circle are only available in cockpit view. When people build very complex, very compact, or very detailed planes they often have to hide the cockpit somewhere that is not ideal for targeting.
A toggle switch for the in-game first-person cameras that activates the crosshair and targeting circle (while also disabling the cockpit's targeting systems) would solve this issue.
It would also make on-board defensive turrets and anti-air vehicles more feasible, allowing the guns and crosshairs to move independently of the vehicle's cockpit and direction of travel.
I understand that this may not be possible, especially if it conflicts with how the the AI handles targeting, but it would be nice to have.
@NathanMikeska we still waiting
i hear you man. when i build drones this would be supper useful. also cloud be used for aiming bombs or being more accurate with mini guns or wing guns
This would be extremely useful, especially with old replicas that have backward facing or side facing weapons.
@NovaTopaz what's your favorite plane?
@NovaTopaz I also LOVE ace combat
@NovaTopaz yeah!
It would be nice to have this option... Like in my "swallow" I had to make my own witch was harder then I first thought it would be...
Yus! If they add that I can make my Turret on the BK10 actually useable!
@nathanmikeska Good to know, thank you very much!
We agree, this would be a nice feature. Its been on our list for a while now, the trick is finding time to get it done. This list is long...
Would be useful on just about everything(plus I could push out some new weapon systems... All Direction Multi-Purpose Missiles anyone(from Ace Combat)?)
I AGREE
This would be useful on my MQ-9!
Yes. Does anybody here think it is possible to make selfe made modded HUDS that others can download?
You can make a HUD with a vtol RCN, but it is not as good as crosshairs...
I agree!
