So, missiles are very powerful. Thankfully, someone invented flares. While we do not yet have functional flares, we can make artificial ones:
Observe the rocket launcher- these are the flares. They look very realistic when fired!

im working on a mod for this that will use this sort of principle and rocket model its been in development for about a month but in no-where near done
Now I'll be waiting for the chaff and flare spam planes.
@NovaTopaz Its just for looks tho. I wonder if it would work as chaff though lol
@Thefalloutplayr Yes, IK. Rockets don't work as flares. Flares are long lasting heat sources. A rocket goes bang and that's the end of that.
The point of a flare is to heat up so hot that it completely drowns out the heat from the aircraft @NovaTopaz
Wouldn't it be chaff? The missiles we have are radar guided, not heatseekers, although heat seeking missiles would be nice.
sadly, those don't actually work as real flares, and won't deflect the missile from it's course. Might look nice, but TBH, for most builds, that would stick out, and in general just doesn't look nice.
