SimplePlanes AI

Ive been doing some AI controlled dogfights for fun and ive noticed that the AI doesn't take into account the aircraft turn circle, performance at speed (my aircraft tend to flat spin below 300mph in sharp turns) and as it comes closer to the enemy it starts rolling the plane rapidly. I know this would be hard to do for the devs but it would make dogfighting so much more fun

I agree. The main problem i have with the AI is that most of my planes are stable as long as you dont give it hard pitch down. Hard pitch-up turns and the plane is agile and stable. Give it pitch down, and you in an outside corkscrew spin-stall and guess what the ai does in dogfights?@TheChosenZebra

@Bobjoezonehill that's my real issue, I build replica early-mid cold war jet fighters which as far as I can tell require to get up to speed before turning and don't turn quickly when they get to speed. Im saying the AI should take into account the aircraft stall speed, speed, turn rate etc

The AI seems to fly all planes as if it's flying the stock P-51. It you can get your planes to controll as smoothly as the p-51, the AI wont have as mich of a problem flying them. Remember: when giving the AI a plane, its success rests in Stability.
