I have few requests that will make the game's guns better. I think that the missiles and the rockets in the game look really good when fired, but the bullets are a bit behind, just long and yellow boxes.
It would be awesome if in the next update you will make the bullets texture as good as the missiles' one. I suggest a bright tracer with a thin but visible smoke trail after it, and even a small smoke cloud when the guns fire. I really liked the smoke you added when the ships get hit, so I think you can also improve the bullets texture.
It would be cool if we will be able to choose the tracer color (and even it's brightness and the smoke trail thickness).
And It also would be better if you'll make the guns louder, because sometimes the engine is louder than the gun, and then you can't hear it.

I think that adding bullet holes or a certain number of times blocks get hit and break, not explode, (resulting in realistic destruction) another though would be fuel leaks but it's not something I would be facinated about@AndrewGarrison
@Itamar3553 We have wanted to improve the bullet graphics for a while, but it's just hard to find time when there are so many things we need to do for this release.

Louder Guns!
@KingDeadshot you can easily change the rate of fire and muzzle velocity with XML but I talk about the texture of the tracer rounds
Miniguns can be quite loud if you put about 3 or 4 of them. But the wing guns are much less noisy.
