Maximum attachable parts e.g. cockpit or landing gear are suitable for either hard or smooth fuselages. In case of curved we have to cover it otherwise the edges of their bases come out, which look very odd. I request devs to make parts which is suitable for all type of fuselages. You can give an option in properties that user can change the base according to the fuselage style
@Skua Shift and then use wasd? Sweet!! Everyone I've talked to about it has failed to bring up that little tidbit. lol Thanks Skua and sorry for the bit about that darned ugly duckling warbird.
@Skua hmm I need to study! Please see a forum topic about delphinus. I think you should know it
@AviownCorp this is your best starting point. The tutorials are outdated and don't always work, but it's still the best resource available. Make sure to use Unity 5.1.4, not a more recent version
@Skua actual mods. For the mods folder
@AviownCorp are we talking xml edits or actual mods here?
@Skua ok I will try tomorrow! Can you tell me how to create mods?
@AviownCorp not for nudge
@Skua ok can I use mouse?
@AviownCorp nudge is a feature that lets you move parts by very small amounts, while also ignoring the normal rules for attachments. You can use it to clips parts through each other, or have them floating completely free if you like, while still acting as if they're attached normally. The default PC controls are shift+WASD
@TehDuck ok thanks!!
Shift and to control nudge WASD @AviownCorp
@JovianPat thanks!
@Nickasaurus thanks!
@dilisvarskvlavi ok nice
@TehDuck ok but how to go to nudge mode?
@Skua what is nudge? How to use it form pc?
@dilisvarskvlavi I'm so happy that there's finally a good replica on the site - I dislike the plane, but so many people ask me to make it.
As for nudge controls, nudge is usually shift+WASD, while WASD by itself controls rotation. You can always change it to a different set of keys, though. I have mine bound to the numpad.
@AviownCorp I get what you are saying. Even with small smooth fuselage types that are 2 x wide you get that overhang. Lately if a fuselage structure, say a wing boom, is not at least 1.5 thick the tyre will stick up through the top of the fuselage. -_-
@Skua Saw someone did a decent Skua recently with folding wings. ^~ Jokes aside, with a bluetooth KB you can access the nudge command on PC or just on a mobile device with bluetooth? I tried the WASD function as nudge and it just turns parts at right angles. --
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ¯_(ツ)/¯ (**) (^^) (^^) :-) (^o^)/ (>_<)
Shift WASD to nudge or if you're on mobile what @Skua said @AviownCorp
@AviownCorp if you attach a Bluetooth keyboard, you can go to the controls settings and assign nudge controls to some of the buttons of the keyboard. I believe some people have done this using the volume buttons on headphones too
@RedHawk what is the nudge?
@Pilotmario how it works?
@TheTMac yes I have mentioned about it in this post
@dilisvarskvlavi all problems are at the base of the parts. However wing landing gear is less difficult to attach
