The Fine Tuner Mod!
Edit: This is outdated
Please download the latest version from here
Installation instructions:
PC:
- Download the PC mod from here
- Move the .spmod file to
C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\LocalLow\Jundroo\SimplePlanes\Mods
(if theMods
folder isn't there, you can create it) - Start SimplePlanes
- Click on the new "Mods" option in the main menu.
- Click on the "Fine Tuner" mod and then in the lower right hit "enable"
PC-Alternative:
- Download the PC mod from here
- Double click the mod and if asked open with Steam bootstrapper and tell Steam it's ok to open SimplePlanes.
- Click on the "Fine Tuner" mod and then in the lower right hit "enable"
- note: this is marked as "Alternative" because there may be glitches with it on some machines, but if either one doesn't work try the other.
OSX/Mac:
- Download the PC mod from here
- Move the .spmod file to
ROOT:/Users/[UserName]/Library/Application Support/unity.Jundroo.SimplePlanes/Mods
, or for older versions it should be/Users/NAME/Library/Containers/com.jundroo.SimplePlanesOSX/Data/Library/Application Support/com.jundroo.SimplePlanesOSX/Mods
(if theMods
folder isn't there, you can create it) - Start SimplePlanes
- Click on the new "Mods" option in the main menu
- Click on the "Fine Tuner" mod and then in the lower right hit "enable"
- Thanks to @SpiritusRaptor for the OSX file path
Android:
- Download the Android mod from here
- Move the .spmod-android file to
Android/data/com.jundroo.SimplePlanes/files/Mods
(if theMods
folder isn't there, you can create it) - Start SimplePlanes
- Click on the new "Mods" option in the main menu.
- Click on the "Fine Tuner" mod and then in the lower right hit "enable"
- note: you may be able to try and open the mod file after downloading, but some people may have trouble getting it to open with SimplePlanes, and the way I have written out is more reliable.
Now in the SimplePlanes designer, near the bottom of the screen, a fair bit to the left of the play button, there should be a new button, click/tap on this button to open the fine tune tool (note: the tool will not automatically close when a stock-SP menu is opened, so you may need to close it manually to deal with other menus).
Please report any bugs you find here with a detailed description of how to reproduce the problem.
Also feedback is welcome.
Steam users: I do plan to publish this on the Steam workshop, but since it's in beta I figured I'd wait a little while.
Semi-Important: Since SP gobbles up any keyboard input that it has bound to something, you can't use the keys it has bound, so I recommend that you go into the controls configuration and in "designer" remove the "backspace" from the delete part input, as well as changing the "next weapon" input (in the "flight" tab) to something other than the period/dot so that you can type in custom decimal numbers, too.
Edit: I can't believe I forgot, big thanks to @Skua for the awesome icon for the tool button!
Other Edit: here is the version with scaling

@Multidimensional ??? Ok je ne comprends rien lÃ
@Multidimensional What?
How do i move the android download file to the url?
Je n'ai pas tout compris là 😅
@HellFireKoder don't worry, typical me, asking all over the forums and everything, then going back into the game and accidentally figuring it out....but thanks for responding, I'd like to become a top designer for mobile devices keeping my planes within 300 parts, (before I forget , thanks for this MOD, has really helped me recreate my first Android plane : p-61A ) and also thx for the link. One more thing , with the MOD, sometimes when I wanna move a multi -selection and I begin it , it'll undo the previous step, I don't know if this is normal but I just move the part around a couple times so when it undoes it it doesn't revert,) if so then that's fine but if not, it's still fine. Cheers
@VediViniVici @Mrloominati for rotating entire assemblies, check the latest version, which is in the mods sections, here, and allows you to select multiple parts to rotate or move at once.
@VediViniVici I wanted to know that as well because if u can I don't know how, and I also wanted to know weather u'd be able to nudge the whole sub assembly too, as I'm making a gun turret that moves in every direction but I need to nudge the assembly inside the fusalage for it to look good. It's a upcoming upload, of a p-61a black widow
How do I use this? Can I get PC controls please?
@HellFireKoder I can't make this mod for android, when it asks for the folder I select the android-sdk folder then it pulls back up the folder selection, you know why?
@SuperSanic
I guess so.@Johndfg
@SuperSanic at least you have a username as cool as supersanic
UUUUGGGGGHHHHH@HellFireKoder
@SuperSanic iOS version of SimplePlanes does not support mods because of Apple's policy, so no.
Is there a way to make it for iOS?
I don't know how I get the version with scaling on Android. I've tried downloading the newer version but the older version keeps showing up in game.
i finally got it too work
@HellFireKoder can i get a version where the rotation is below position? i would have done it myself but i dont do XML modding
